she couldn't get oscar out of her head.

no matter what she did, he wouldn't leave. elisa didn't want to be thinking of him, of course she didn't, but the details of their past haunted her. she wondered if it still haunted him.

the cruelty with which he treated her stained her perception of him as a whole. elisa wasn't sure how a person could treat the one they loved with such disrespect, especially since they were only teens.

elisa would never forget how she felt when oscar told her they could no longer be together because they were young. he wanted something else. he told her they could be together again someday, but she didn't believe he genuinely thought that. in actuality, he'd just grow tired of their relationship. of her.

honestly, she would've preferred to be told that straight up rather than be lied to. it sucked that she had to find that out through logan, who really shouldn't have been involved anyway.

besides, he'd moved on only a month after they broke up so clearly their relationship didn't mean that much to him anyway. 2 years together thrown away, out of his mind, but never out of hers.

the fact he was still trying to worm his way back into elisa's life bugged her. why break up with someone if you don't really mean it? she thought.

she'd written multiple songs about it, but whether they were going to be released or not was something else. many of them she felt were too personal to be released, or she thought it was too obvious as to who some were about.

however, there were a few that she had considered. so, her and her producer decided to turn the few songs she loved into pieces that were truly worth releasing. it didn't take long for them to decide which one she would release first.

the long winter break had given her enough time to ponder, and elisa decided the one she was most proud of would be the one to be her debut single. she just hoped people would love it as much as she did.
