SPOILERS FOR 3Γ—09!

I love Klamille very much and I think that the scene where Camille dies in 3Γ—09 was very sad because she and Klaus were finally happy and that happiness was taken away from them. So... I decided to change that and give them their deserved happy moment. Here Aurora didn't compel Cami to kill herself. Enjoy readingπŸ’•

CAUSE WHERE YOU ARE IS WHERE I'M MEANT TO BE...

When Camille woke up, she didn't know where she was at first, but as soon as she saw the man lying in front of her, she remembered everything that had happened and couldn't help but smile. Klaus had finally admitted his feelings for her, and she couldn't be happier. Yes... they still had to take care of Aurora but she didn't want to think about it. She wanted to enjoy this moment as much as possible.

The woman looked at the man sleeping peacefully beside her and her smile widened. Who would have thought that she, Camille O'Connell, the ordinary bartender, would end up here with Klaus Mikaelson, the Original hybrid. Many people described him as a monster... Some would even say that he was the devil himself. But Cami knew another side of him - the one that cared and protected the people he loved and that would do anything for them. He even helped a man he didn't know just because of her. "What's important to you is important to me." his words came to her mind again. She knew he wanted to be better, that he wanted to be more than a murderer and that he wasn't evil, he was just hurt many times, and what he had become was just a defense mechanism. He built walls around himself so he couldn't get hurt again.

She was taken out of her thoughts when Klaus moved a little and sighed, relaxing again. She just lay there watching him, admiring how calm he looked while he slept. She wished it was always like that and that there won't be new enemies who want to kill them. But this was New Orleans, and she was in love with a thousand-year-old hybrid with thousand of enemies. And honestly... she didn't regret anything. He made her happy and she loved him. She loved everything about him.

"It's rude to stare, you know." Klaus said suddenly. His voice was a little deeper than usual after he had just woken up. He opened his eyes and smirked.

"I wasn't staring." Cami replied, chuckling quietly.

"Then what were you doing?" he asked.

It was quiet for a while as Cami tried to think of an excuse. Klaus waited, raising his eyebrows, knowing he was right. When she couldn't think of anything, she gave up. "Okay, I stared."

The blonde haired man laughed. "That's what I thought."

There was comfortable silence. They looked at each other for a long time, studying the other's features, memorizing every detail, and enjoying each other's company.

Suddenly Klaus remembered something. The bartender frowned when she saw his expression. "What is it?"

"I forgot to give you something. It's Christmas after all..." he said as he sat on the bed. He reached for the nightstand and opened it.

"Klaus, you don't need to give me anything."

"It's not a hundred-dollar bill, relax." Klaus chuckled as he picked up a small box.

He handed her the box and she smiled as she took it. When she opened it, she saw a beautiful necklace inside. It had a dark gold chain, and on it hung a beautiful purple stone surrounded by golden flowers. It was exactly her style.

Cami didn't realize she drifted off and didn't say anything, and Klaus thought she didn't like it.

"You can change it if-" he began, but Camille interrupted.

"No. No, it's perfect! Klaus... It's perfect." she said softly as she put her hand on his cheek, looking the man in the eyes. The hybrid looked at her lips and slowly leaned forward, catching her lips. The woman smiled into the kiss. After a while they backed away.

She asked him to put the necklace on her.

"I asked Freya to put one of her spells on it to keep you safe if anything happens." he said, lifting the locket from the box. "Turn around." She did so and put her hair on one of her shoulders. Klaus passed the jewelry over her head and placed it around her neck. "It will repel any fool who wishes to harm you." He fastened the chain and kissed her shoulder.

Camille turned to face the Mikaelson. "Thank you."

"For you always, love." They smiled at each other.

"I'm proud of you, you know." the woman said after a few seconds.

"You are?" he asked quietly and frowned.

"Yeah. You made huge progress from the man you were when we first met and showed the potential I knew you had." she looked at him happy and proud. "You've changed."

The hybrid stared at her and his lips parted in surprise. He never believed he will hear this words ever. "Well... I have a good therapist."

"Yeah, you are lucky." she joked.

The couple laughed together.

"I am... But you are lucky too... After all not many people can boast of the fact that they are so close to Klaus Mikaelson that they know all his secrets and that they've won his trust. And to be in my company is a great honor- "

"Wow, your ego really doesn't know any bounds, does it." The O'Connell chuckled. It was not a question but rather a statement. Cami knew she was right.

"Well... I'm not going to apologize for speaking the truth." replied Klaus, making innocent face. Camille rolled her eyes with smile.

They spent a couple of hours like that - talking, laughing and kissing untill they grew tired and fell asleep in each other's arms. And they wished for nothing more. They forgot their problems and they were just... happy. They were finally happy.
