Bakugo, as expected, didn't hold back against Pink Cheeks.

When the battle started, Uraraka didn't waste time and charged head-on while making sure to stay low.

Bakugo started with his favourite right swing. The explosion emitted from Bakugo's explosion caused a dust cloud. Since we were all blind, the audience was scared for Uraraka. Which is pretty fucked up if you think about it. They don't think she can do it. They aren't wrong but still...Their empathy is backhanded.

The smoke made it hard to see but even I could tell that she was running around everywhere like a ninja. I kept seeing things shoot up in the sky. The ceiling blocked the view from where I was sitting so I decided to move to the very front of the bleachers. That's when I realized that Uraraka was scheming something I didn't think of. "Well, I'll be dammed." I admired. Then grunted at the fact that I just complimented Uraraka. Never did I think the day would come.

It wasn't going to work. Her plan. It never would have but I have to admit. It's pretty impressive she thought of this strategy herself. Her Quirk is very hard to manage against a guy like Bakugo. On the other hand, people who haven't realized her real plan couldn't bare to see a girl get beaten down by a guy. Jiro covered her eyes as she couldn't stomach seeing her friend lose. She must have not noticed the flying rocks above her head.

Tsuyu, surprisingly, also didn't know.

"Bakugo, don't tell me...your tastes run in that direction..." Mineta slipped that comment in.

"Uraraka keeps attacking without rest, but...this is..." Present Mic faltered.

Even he hasn't a clue what's going on. Pity. I thought Pro Heroes were supposed to know these sorts of things. Or at least have the agility to figure it out faster than the students.

The worst part about it, the audience started to badmouth Bakugo for keeping up with his explosions without rest.

"HEY! How can you say you want to be a hero like that?!" A random pro hero stood up from his seat. "If there is such a huge difference in your abilities, then hurry up and send her out of bounds! Stop bullying and playing with the poor girl!"

"Is he stupid?" I bang my fist on the railing. I was getting mad. If the pro heroes are stupid, then what hope do we students have?

Then, the most idiotic people booed Bakugo.

"Was that a pro saying he's playing around?" Aizawa took the mic. "If you're saying that with a straight face, there's no point in you watching anymore, so go home! Go home, and look into changing careers! Bakugo is being careful because he's acknowledged the strength of his opponent who had made it this far. It's because he's doing everything he can to win that he can't go easy on her or let his guard down."

Bakugo's complexity has even attracted Aizawa's attention. I might have negative feelings towards the guy but I can admit that he's a powerful opponent. This is why I'm bitter towards the people who dislike him solely because he is aiming for the top and respecting his opponents enough to not go easy on them.

Uraraka stood her ground, heaving. Her hands slowly come together as she screamed, "Release!"
The rocks in the sky fell down at high speeds. Like meteors.
Urakaka acknowledged that Bakugo was distracted so she bolted straight to him. She was so close. And yet...

Bakugo raised one hand and created a massive amount of heat. Because of the pressure, the rocks shot somewhere else. To be more precise, on the roof of the stadium.

Uraraka was blown away. Literally and figuratively.

Since the wind was strong, I had to grip the railing or else I would have been flown to my death.

Then...silence.
The people were speechless. The only sound that was distinguishable was the impact of the rocks as they collided with surfaces.

"Since you're friends with Y/n, I thought you'd be up to something..." Bakugo said to her.

Uraraka's face darkened as her fear worsened.

"B-BAKUGO DELIVERS A SATISFYING EXPLOSION! HE BLASTS BODLY THROUGH URARAKA'S SECRET PLAN!"

Uraraka was down on her knees. Discouraged. But stubbornly, she stood up. Then fell again and started to crawl..? What even keeps her going? Why does she even want to win so badly?

Midnight speculated Uraraka's state and declared Bakugo the winner since the girl was out of commission.

The first round finished and now we had a short break before the festival continued its battles in the second round.
More importantly, Tetsutetsu's fight against Kirishima continued.

Uraraka was sent to Recovery Girl's office and I found myself not caring much about Kirishima's continuation so I decided to go to the waiting room before my battle was to commence.

Though, I wanted to know.
What kept her from giving up? It was obvious to lose. So why did she try so hard?
I don't understand.

"Hmph." I heard a familiar grunt.

I roll my eyes at the sight of him.

Bakugo was positioned going up the stairs and I was in the middle of a hall. Obviously, the staircase merged into my hall so that's how we ended up seeing each other. I kept on walking to the waiting room.

"That was your idea, wasn't it?" He followed me.

I stopped stepping away and decided to face Bakugo. Just to see his reaction. "And what if it was?"

"That dammed desperate plan. You just have to be annoying, don't you?"

My tongue licks the inside of my bottom lip. " It wasn't my idea. If it was, it would have been closer to working...But..."
I can't believe I'm about to say this. "If it annoyed you, that was because Uraraka was outsmarting you around like the bitch you are. Or something like that."

Bakugo got mad but he didn't say anything back. He just continued on his merry way.

Out of character but I didn't stick around long enough to care.

I finally reached Student waiting room 2 and as soon as I opened the door, Uraraka greeted me.

"Man, I lost." She rubbed the back of her head and smiled.

I thought she would be crying but she wasn't. Plus, I didn't expect her to be in here.

"Oh. Hi." I close the door and sit across the table from her.

Uraraka was holding a pink flip phone.
Is she into vintage stuff or something? Why does she have an old flip phone?

"I got carried away at the end thinking I could do it, dang it." Her cheek had a gauze. That was the only visible wound she had. "Man. But that Bakugo was really strong! He totally got me. I need to work harder, too!"

"Mmm. Yes." I reply.

"He-"

"Why didn't you give up?" I interrupt her.

"Wha-Um...I just at least had to try, you know?"

"But why. Isn't there a limit? A thought that makes you not waste your energy on something you know you can't win."

Uraraka uncomfortably chuckled. I sensed that this was going to lead to a sensitive topic so I didn't stop her. "My parents...They...They need my help. I want to become a hero so I can help them with...Money and stuff. I want to repay them for all their sacrifices. And I-I just couldn't bare the thought of them watching me not try for them." Uraraka started tearing up. "I just want to help them."

So...She's a citizen of low income? That would explain the fact that she couldn't afford a model up-to-date phone.
Basically, she is just in this school because she wants money.
Her intention, although understandable, didn't seem logical enough to follow the hero's path. She's hogging up the space for someone like Shinso. He's actually wanting to become a hero to help the people who are like him and help them realize that they can do it. She's...Worse than I thought.
I mean, even I have an opinion on the matter and I have very little reason to care.

I was probably making a very intimidating face because Uraraka stopped crying and she started to look at me with regret in her poopy eyes. She knows deep down that her intentions are somewhat shameful.

"Sorry." I finally say something. "I didn't mean to pry." I didn't like her choice but I had to respect it.

Present Mic announced that the first battle of the second round was going to start so I had to leave.

"Thanks, Y/n." She sniffs. "Good luck."

"Oh, there you are," Endeavour speaks to me.

Who? Me? "Uhhhh." I took a step back because I was honestly never expecting this encounter. I look behind me to make sure it was actually me he was looking at.

"I watched your fight. You have a wonderful Quirk. You were able to defeat a boy taller than you with your bare feminine hands. If we're talking about power alone, yours could be as strong as All Might's."

Well, how about that? "Okay..." I waited for Endeavour to get to the point. He pointed his fat fucking fingers at my face and I was close to biting his index finger off and shoving it where his fire doesn't act his hair.

"It is my Shoto's duty to surpass All Might. His match with you will be a very instructive test bed. Please don't disgrace yourself in it." Endeavour said.

"Eeeh, Wrong," I reply, emphasizing my words. I felt the courage to speak my mind. "He's not your puppet. You're putting unnecessary pressure on him. It's his job to be himself but because of you, his life has always been about you."
Fuck no I wasn't scared of Endeavour. Not right now at least.
If he wanted to get me expelled from school for being disrespectful then I'll bust his ass for child abuse. He'll be playing fire with fire at the end of the day.

I think the reason why I'm taking Endeavour's words to heart was that he reminded me of my own father.
Not much but Endeavour made me angry that he was controlling his son's life. He thinks he's entitled to it just because he has the title of dad. Just because you share the same blood doesn't mean you get to abuse your power.
So I will not regret defending my classmate. I will not make an excuse. Not this time.

Endeavour got angry. But played dumb. "I will not take criticism from the likes of you. I only came here to say that to you. I apologize for bothering you right before the match." Endeavour walked away.

Man, fuck the Todoroki's. They're all messed up in the head in ways that I can't handle. And they make it my business.

I stomp away too. With haste.

Todoroki's falling right into his hands. Instead of shutting out his fire, he should embrace it and burn his dad with it! That would only naturally make sense! An eye for an eye!
Or in this case, the mom should get to be burnt in the way but who cares. The dad is the one who needs to understand. And he will only do so if he sees his beloved son owning his Quirk at last.

I anxiously wanted to fight Todoroki. For reasons that I cannot even explain myself if I tried.
But Shoto has to know.
He has to see.

He can't be fighting me if he doesn't try his hardest.

"THE MAN WHO WON A HUGE VICTORY IN THE FIRST ROUND AND LITERALLY LEFT THE AUDIENCE FROZEN-TODOROKI SHOTO!"

"THE GIRL WITH THE ENIGMATIC MIND QUIRK! WHAT KIND OF FIGHT WILL SHE SHOW US THIS TIME?-Y/N L/N!"

Todoroki and I had a showdown. A Mexican stand off.

"So you're here," Todoroki says. Cold as ever.

"Yes. Did you think I would flee?" I laugh at the thought.

"Not at all."

"IT'S LIKE TWO RIVALS GOING AGAINST EACH OTHER AT THE FINAL BREAKDOWN!"

"Y/N VERSUS TODOROKI! START!"
