๐™๐™„๐™๐™Ž๐™ ๐˜ฟ๐˜ผ๐™” ๐˜ฝ๐˜ผ๐˜พ๐™† ๐˜ผ๐™ school was something Maria Lockwood absolutely hated beyond anything in the world.

The seventeen year old girl was just getting ready for school, when her mother, Carol Lockwood, shouted her name from downstairs.

"Maria, honey! Please come down!"

Maria rolled her eyes, sighing in pure annoyance.

Everyone knew that the Lockwood girl had anger issues, which is why she always goes to the gym, just to release all of that anger and whatever she's feeling onto a punching bag, for example.

She quickly put on her accessories that go well with her unique look, and slid on her black platform shoes to pair it all off.

With that being said and done, the brunette girl walked down the staircase and into the dining room, where her father, Richard Lockwood, was too busy looking at the newspaper in his hands to even notice that his daughter had now enter the room.

Her parents really didn't approve at the fact that Maria dresses far differently from everyone else in Mystic Falls, but Maria didn't give a damn about what other people think about her sense of style, let alone her parents. But her mother eventually respected her daughter's fashion choice, but her father, well not so much.

"There's a plate of bacon and pancakes on the table for you, honey." Carol said to her daughter, pointing towards her breakfast.

"Okay." Maria said, nodding her head.

The girl took a seat, and staring digging in with her delicious breakfast.

"Why do you always dress that way, Maria?" Richard asked in irritation, folding up his newspaper and placing it back down on the mahogany dining room table, "This doesn't look good with our family name, now does it?"

'Here we go again.' Maria thought, mentally rolling her eyes at how her father decides what clothes fit best with how the Lockwood's are portrayed as being.

"Because, dad. . . You and mom told me to get my anger under control and I have been going to the gym whenever I feel like I'm going to lash out at someone." Maria spoke up in an agitated tone at the fact that her father still has issues with her choice of attire, "And I decided to change my style to suit me the most. So, if you really don't like that. . . Well, let's just say that this 'technique' that I'm using to control my anger would all be for nothing. When in reality, I could just take it all out on yo--"

But before Maria could finish her angry sentence, her older twin brother walked in the room, earphones plugged in his ears, music blasting away.

When seeing his family, the teenage boy paused his music and took each of the earbuds out from his ears so that he could talk to his family.

"What the hell did I just walk into?" Tyler questioned, looking very confused at the obvious glaring his father was aiming at his younger twin sister.

"Nothing, Ty." Maria spun around, facing her brother with a narrowed look to just leave it be.

"Whatever." Tyler mumbled back, but quickly jogged over to Maria's plate, about to steal her bacon.

"Hey, what the hell are you? An animal?" Maria sarcastically asked, quickly slapping her hand on top of her brother's arm, so that he could let go of her bacon.

"Chill, Mari." Tyler put his hands up playfully in surrender.

"Yeah, well I'm just starting to get my anger under control. Y'know, the 'Lockwood anger' that we all seem to have?" Maria snapped at her brother, but she didn't mean to, "So, don't test me, okay?"

She always got worked up over so many things that weren't even that triggering to her, it's just that she found it hard to control that anger and put it into something else that's less. . . Dangerous. Murderous, even.

"Yep." Tyler replied knowingly that his sister had it the worst between himself and her.

"Good." Maria said back, all the fuelled up anger suddenly leaving her body when hearing her brother back down.

Tyler went into the kitchen and picked up the plate of bacon pancakes, then walked off into the dining room.

"Maria, we're not done here--"

"Oh, but dad. We so are." Maria defiantly snapped back, interruptimg her father, "I can wear whatever the hell I want to wear. And you nor anyone else can do anything about it."

The Lockwood girl stormed out of the dining room before she could even hear what her father was going to say next leaving everyone in the dining room absolutely stunned.

The seventeen year old girl picked up her school bag, before leaving the Lockwood Mansion.

"๐™ƒ๐™€๐™”, ๐™ˆ๐˜ผ๐™ ๐™’๐˜ผ๐™„๐™ ๐™๐™‹!" Maria was walking up towards 'Mystic Falls High School' but stopped when she heard a female perky voice come from behind her.

It was Maria's best friend, her other half, Daisy Forbes, who was now walking over towards the girl with anger issues.

Daisy immediately pulled Maria into a tight hug.

Maria however, didn't mind at all considering Daisy has been there every step of the way through all the crap Maria's go through.

The two broke away and started talking.

"So. . ." Daisy trailed off, biting her cheek in anticipation, "How have you been, really, Mar?"

Maria knew that the only way she can move forward is to face and talk about her problems with the only person she could trust out of everyone else.

That being Daisy Forbes herself.

"Dais, honestly, I'm getting better." Maria admitted truthfully, but she new the outbursts from earlier said different but knew that her father is the main reason for getting her all riled up.

"Mar, That's awesome!" Daisy squealed, which made a load of heads turn in their direction from the high pitch sound.

"Hey! Do any of you people have anything better to do then just to gawk at us like complete and utter idiots?" Maria hissed, turning her head around to face those who thought that it was acceptable to continue staring at the best friends with weird looks on their judgemental faces.

That automatically made all eyes shoot away from their direction and onto something 'More interesting'.

"Thank you." Daisy said in a soft tone to her inseparable best friend in gratitude.

Suddenly, the sound of a bird squawking started both the blonde and brunette.

Maria looked over her shoulder, only to be met with a raven feathered crow, perching itself onto a nearby tree.

It's beady black eyes staring at Maria the entire time.

"Ooh, it looks like you've got an admirer, Mar." Daisy playfully teased the hazel eyed girl.

"It's just a stupid crow, Dais. No need to flaunt over it, geez." Maria commented back, rolling her eyes at the bubbly blonde's comment, thinking that it was completely ridiculous considering it was a crow, for God's sake!

"The crow looked like it was almost looking admirably at you." Daisy randomly spoke, which in return made Maria shoot her a look that read,ย 'You are absolutely crazy!'

"Oh, so you're like the, What? 'Crow whisperer' now or somethin'?" The Lockwood girl spoke sarcastically.

Daisy just huffed in defeat to answer the Lockwood girl's question.

The two just walked on into the school.

Unaware to the duo, the crow from before was watching them both walk inside, more specifically focused on the feisty brunette in a suspicious manner.
