╰┈➤ Elizabeth has always been able to see them, the tall dark figures, the ‘vivid hallucinations’, Her parents had called them, She’s been to at least twenty doctor appointments and three different therapists, nothing worked, she still saw them, nobody could tell what was wrong with her and now this was it.

The last night in her home city, moving from a large city to a small town wouldn’t be easy, but her father needed to move due to his job. she had finally finished folding her favourite shirt, now moving onto the other necessities, trying her hardest to ignore the figure currently standing in the corner, it stayed perfectly still, in the darkest part of her bedroom, just barely avoiding the light, Elizabeth moved from off the floor and towards her window, letting ou a highly annoyed sigh as she did so, opening her blinds wider so it illuminated her entire room, the skeletal figure let out a large screeched, Elizabeth turned around to see the figure now gone, she let out a sigh of relief no longer feeling uncomfortable from the creatures staring, she gentle rubbed the ridge of her nose, as a headache was forming, a pounding pain coursing through her head.

knock knock

Elizabeth moved her hand from her nose, blinking a couple times blankly before moving towards the door, her hand gently gripping the handle, opening the door, behhind the door stood her father, holding her small white ragdoll cat, grabbing the cat from her fathers hands, she looked back up at him, unlike Elizabeth, her father had the heights in the family, Elizabeth got her mothers short height, her father smiled back down at her,
"hey princess, you finished packing yet?” her Father asked, the smile on his face growing wider with each word,
“almost” Elizabeth answered with a small nod of the head, before turning way from her door, leaving it open so her father could enter, she walked back over to her suit case, placing herself back on her knees next to it, folding the final few items of clothing, Elizabeth heard her father let out a sigh, before making his way over to her bed, sitting down, his knees spread apart slightly, leaning forwards and holding his hands in his own, not making eye contact with her, the tension was awkward, causing Elizabeth to shift in her spot, before her father finally coughed, catching her attention,
"I know you don't want to move but-" her father began, Elizabeth just groaned in annoyance before hushing him,
"Not this again" she whined,
"Darling, come on, I know its difficult having to move to a new school after already starting and making friends at your school here" Her father sighed once more,
"Father this conversation is pointless, i dont care that we're moving, my friends are okay with it" Elizabeth spoke, feeling slightly guilty for lieing to her father, in all honesty, she didn't have friends at that school, she was known as "the crazy bitch" for flinching at "nothing" and staring at "nothing", everyone was avoiding her and snickering as she walked past, overall, she was genuinely glad they where moving,
"sigh, liz, im serious" her father clarified,
"So am i" she challenged back, a cough alerting the two, both turning their heads to see Elizabeth's mother standing in the door way, she let out a laugh at the two's perplexed faces,
"The movers are almost here, Levi and Noah can't pack everything on their own, and we still have to take down everything in here" Elizabeth's mother announced, causing the two to look around at the still fully-set-up room,

"I'll go help Levi and Noah, are you two okay with this room?" Elizabeth's father asked the two, walking over to Elizabeth's mother, placing a kiss to her temple, Levi and Noah where Elizabeth's older brothers, they where twins, un-identical twins, as for Levi had his mothers black hair which he had dyed blonde streaks into and Noah had gotten his fathers ash-brown hair,
"We'll be fine, Michael" Elizabeth's mother smiled,
"Alrighty then" he moved past his wife, walking down the stairs of the two story building,

"You should really let your father have these types of conversations with you" Elizabeth's mother interjected as she walked over to one of the wall, taking down a poster, Elizabeth let out another groan at her mothers words,
"Its awkward, I hate the tension in these types of conversations" Elizabeth sighed as she walked to the poster next to the one her mother was removing,
"I know sweetheart, but we're trying to help you" Her mother took the poster,
"Were you keeping these?" Her mother added quickly,
"No, I wasn't, I know you're trying to help, but I can do it on my own" Elizabeth answered,
"After all their just hallucinations, right?" Elizabeth smirked,
"Dont get smart with me" Her mother jokingly glared back,

"What do you think it'll be like there? In alto, georgia" Elizabeth asked as she neatly folded the final poster in her room, breaking the awkward silence,
"I dont know, never been, but I heard your fathers friend grew up there or something like that" Her mother chirped back, earning a hum from Elizabeth,
"Mum! The movers are here" Levi shouted, from down the stairs, Elizabeth took in a deep breathe, zipping up her suitcase.
