Perfect Little Princesses

The soft jingle of a bell woke the girls, the same bell they've heard every single morning. As Lillian rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, her maid Virginia swept through the door. "It's time to wake up miss" she said politely "you don't want to be late for breakfast!" Virginia was one of the youngest maids in the household, she was sweet and gentle "Virginia, is it true we have another photo shoot today?" "Yes, I'm afraid so." She answered solemnly "Oh, those photo shoots are a real pain, I wish I could go out and play like the other kids." The hair brush Virginia was holding came clattering to the floor "You've gone outside the gates!" She exclaimed "No, of course not, I've seen them playing through my window." "Oh Lillian if you ever went outside those gates." Lillian sighed "I know, I know, I don't want to think about it." She sighed again "Virginia, do you think I could ever be like them?" Virginia brushed her hair she answered. Lillian's hair was the same tawny color of her mothers. She resembled a more happy version of her mother too."Well, maybe one day you'll find a way out of this so called prison and live a wonderful life outside of these restraints!" "Yea, maybe one day" she said sadly, gazing out the window. In the next room, Blair's maid Rose already was adding barrettes to Blair's flowing, ebony hair, with charms that resembled bluebirds. "All done miss, do you like it?" She asked hesitantly. Rose was so used to speaking with Blair's ever displeased mother, it left her always a bit nervous. "Oh Rose, it's lovely!" Blair exclaimed. Out of the three sisters, Blair was the most popular with their fans, since they were some of the most famous child models in England. "I love the little bluebirds, their so pretty." The last room belonged to seven year old Charlotte, Lillian and Blair's little sister. She was always a ray of sunshine, unless she was angry or scared. Her maid Carolyn was helping her with her shoes. "Oh goodness, these shoes are getting a tad bit to small." Carolyn cared for Charlotte like a mother, for her real one never made her feel welcome in her presence. "Well, I'm sure Mother won't notice, I'll be fine!" Said Charlotte cheerily "Well, let's go fetch your sisters for breakfast." Charlotte walked out the door, looked both ways, and proceded to skip down the hall to Blair's room. Soon she peeked out the door and they both went to fetch Lillian for breakfast, just like every other day. Little did they know what awaited them the next two days.
