Travis's POV
I was so nervous about this dinner. I haven't seen her in 5 months, she seems completely fine, but. She was alone for a long time, alone during pregnancy isn't the best option. I don't even know how to take care of a pregnant women, I heard they like chocolate, but Katelyn isn't a big chocolate fan. I feel like I don't even know her right now. I almost forgot how beautiful she is. It was starting to get pretty bad too, pickle has been going crazy missing her. He seemed happy to see her again. The car ride was really silent, so I tried to start conversation. It didn't last long, I'm kind of upset. Thin a between us are just so awkward now and I don't know what to do to make her smile again.
Katelyn's POV
I'm still shocked about everything, I didn't expect him to find me, but I couldn't be happier now. Travis seemed upset, which made me wonder why, was he upset about the baby? I had to ask him, because he didn't want her, then we would have to do something about it.
"Travis?"
"Yeah baby?"
"Are you happy about this?"
He looked at me with confused eyes
"About what? You being back? Of course I'm happy!"
"No. The baby..."
He looked shocked
"KATELYN!!! Of course I'm happy about her, why would you ask such a thing?"
I felt embarrassed, I don't know why, I love him and usually feel so open with him.
"Y-You just looked real upset"
He looked down and tightened his grip on the steering wheel. His eyes filled with guilt, and sadness. What had he done? He was clearly hiding something and it has been a long time since we've seen each other, giving him plenty of time to do things.
"What did you do?"
His eyes began to fill with tears
"I'm so sorry Katelyn..."
