Grammar rules.

You know what I hate?

When people do this in their fanfictions.

hello? zac asked.

hello? zac asked.

There are no quotation marks, or these two flying commas showing the dialogue. Also notice how the sentences aren't capitalized? It frickin' t r i g g e r s me.

What I also don't like is when the author doesn't indent, but they put quotation marks. AND THEY DONT MAKE A NEW PARAGRAPH WHEN THE SPEAKER CHANGES.

sara went over to billy, clicking her shoes as she walked. "hey there billy" sara said. "oh hey sara" billy said. "did you hear about kylie getting in a fight?" sara said. "no" billy said.

Confusing, right?

The thing is, this happens. A LOT.

Like, I don't get how you forget to capitalize the beginning of sentences and names. Cause this is straight up 3rd grade stuff.

Another thing that triggers me is they're, there, and their.

That is what you call "homophones". They all have the same pronunciation, but they have different meanings and spelling. Not sure how you can mess this up easily.

When people don't indent in new paragraphs, make a new paragraph when a speaker changes, and when they make a new paragraph when they describe a certain thing.

Ex:

"We have a new student in the class." Mr. Weis said. "I wonder how he'll look like!" Will said. "I hope he's dreamy!" Karis said. "I wonder what his favorite sport is!" Marcus said. The room became a mall, a bunch of useless chattering that no one could understand. The teacher then shushed the class as they began to disturb the other rooms.

Then the paragraph is super long.

And it happens for the whole story.

  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

tbh im too lazy to think of other things that trigger me so yeah
