Epilogue

*Two Years Later*

One hand pushed the door open as the other ran through the brown, curly locks on his head. Taking a quick scan around the nearly empty diner, Ryan headed straight to the open booth in the corner of the diner. As he took his seat, he brought out his journal and opened to a fresh page. Not long after he started writing, a voice halted his thoughts mid sentence. Ryan looked up to see his favorite waiter standing at the end of the table.

"Oh My God. You're Ryan Ross from Panic! at the Disco!" Ryan blushed as he saw some heads turn to see him. Brendon did this whenever Ryan picked him up ever since his band got signed. Brendon sat across the table from Ryan with a smirk on his face. "I'll never get tired of watching you blush after I say that."

"I was over it after the first time you said it." Ryan pouted as Brendon laughed at the memory.

"Oh come on. Don't give me that face. How was I supposed to know that there were fans near by? Or that they'd attack when they get too excited," Brendon shrugged.

"I still miss that sweater." Brendon giggled at Ryan.

"Well, I'm very proud of you for sharing your music with the world."

Ryan played with the corner of one of his pages. Brendon leaned over to look at the book and Ryan slowly shut it. Brendon sat back and looked at Ryan upset. "You haven't hid your writing from me in years. What the hell?" Ryan scratched the back of his head.

"I've been working on a new song and I'm kinda nervous about it." Brendon smiled excitedly.

"Are we gonna have Jon and Spencer over to record it?"

"I don't know yet." Ryan looked down at the closed book.

"You better not be thinking about just leaving it in your book. Your fans can't fall in love with your music if you keep them hidden."

"Babe, it's your voice that they're falling in love with."

"Well they wouldn't have anything to fall in love with if I have no words to sing. That's all you. They fall in love with your words and their meaning. Sometimes I think the fans love you almost as much as I do." Brendon leaned over the table and kisses Ryan. "Almost."

Ryan took a deep breath and opened his book. He flipped through the countless songs that he was able to show other people with Brendon's help. He was a successful musician all because Brendon helped him believe in himself.

He finally landed on the final page. There were only a few lines written, but that's all Ryan needed right now. He turned the book so Brendon could read. Brendon smiled and looked over the lyrics, reading them out loud like he always did.

"I know it's mad, but if I go to hell
Will you come with me or just leave?"

Brendon gave his full attention to the lines, not noticing Ryan getting up and moving next to him.

"I know it's mad, but if the world were ending,
Would you kiss me, or just leave me?"

"This is amazing. How do you come up with this stuff?" Brendon asked rereading the page.

"I have the best inspiration anyone can ask for." Brendon turned to Ryan and his hand flew over his mouth to hold a gasp. Ryan was on one knee, holding open a black velvet box.

"Brendon, before I met you, I never had much reason to do anything. I questioned why I kept pushing through the hardest days. I never knew why a part of me always wanted to keep going. It was like that part of me knew something incredible was just around the corner." Brendon's eyes formed a thin line of tears.

"Right here in this booth two and a half years ago, I finally found out why I kept going. It for this moment right now. When I first laid eyes on you, I was instantly hooked. When I saw you with Skylar, I fell in love. When we moved in together, I knew I couldn't be without you. You are my smile, my laugh, my whole world. You are my sun." Ryan took a deep breath and took Brendon's left hand.

"Brendon Boyd Urie, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" Brendon nodded his head fast with tears streaming down his face.

"Yes." Ryan stood up and pulled Brendon with him. He connected their lips. When they pulled away, Ryan slipped the silver band onto Brendon's ring finger. Brendon watch the line of diamonds shine in the light. He pulled Ryan into another kiss.

Ryan wrapped his arms around Brendon and spun him happily. Brendon held his arms securely around Ryan's neck. "I love you."

"I love you more," Brendon replied. He bit his lip as he looked down at the ring. Ryan held Brendon's face in his hands. They locked their eyes together.

"That's not possible." Ryan wiped away Brendon's happy tears with his thumb.

"I can't wait to tell Skylar. She's gonna be so excited."

"She already knows." Brendon furrowed his brow.

"How?"

"Well I had to make sure she was okay for me to married her daddy," Ryan smiled and shrugged.

"You asked a five year old for permission to marry me?" Ryan nodded. "What did she say?"

"She was very excited that her daddy and papa were going to be husbands, but mainly that she was going to be a flower girl." Ryan laughed. Brendon gleamed at Ryan. They connected their lips and held each other close. When they pulled away, they rested their forehead's against each other. "You're amazing. I hope you know that."

"You're not too bad yourself, Ross," Brendon teased. Ryan smiled at his fiancé and pulled him into another kiss as they melted into each other's embrace.

A/N:

This is the end! I have a couple of scenes that I wrote that didn't make it in the story, so I might upload those. Not sure yet. Fun fact about me. All my writing is pen and paper first before I type it out. I filled one of my notebooks with this story alone and I used up all the ink in one of my pens. Didn't intend for the story to be this long.

I have a few more stories that I'm working on. Some are oneshots and one's a Peterick. Check it out if you're interested!
