The colour red merged with the colour of the night sky as flames from the depths of hell continued to rise engulfing everything in its path. The cracks within the ground resumed its destruction of buildings from the monstrous creature wrecking havoc to all living things. Cries and screams of terror echoed with the sound of crumbling establishments. Bodies scurried to find safety from their fallen homes. Knights and other official individuals paved paths for the innocent, as the Grand Priest, who is also the Protector of the World, Tenjou Oki readied himself to fend off the gigantic beast.

"I have to by them time to run, especially her." Tenjou looked back to the wandering people and laid eyes on a brown haired beauty. Everything happened so quickly, of course no one would have seen it coming, but they should have been prepared right. The Protector should have been on guard, watching for any strange signs, but he couldn't.

"Tenjou, you can't go out there! What if you die!" The chocolate haired girl, Shizune Tamayo, pleads desperately to the taller man. The man, Tenjou Oki, looked down at Shizune and the bundle of blankets within her arms. In her arms was a newborn child, a girl named Tomoe, who has no idea of the problems occurring. "Shi, you know that I have to do this, its part of my job as Grand Priest. Plus I have to make sure that you and the baby are safe so that you may go and meet with her father." He says while pointing at the child.

Shizune starts to shed tears as she looked at her dear friend, trying not to imagine him dying. "I need you with me, Ten, I-I love you!" Tenjou looked at the girl with wide eyes and shock written across his face as Shizune looked at him with determination on her face. "Wha-What do you mean by that?" Tenjou didn't know what to say he was surprised as to what she just said.

"I-I-I love you Tenjou, in a romantic way. I've always have loved you since we were children. Do you know how hard it will be if I were to loose you after I had just confessed?" Shizune says with pleading eyes.

" What about her father? Don't you love him since you've conceived his child?"

"Tenjou, I-" Before Shizune could finish her sentence, a disciple of Tenjou rushed in.

"Father Oki, We need your help outside, the beast is breaking through our defenses!" Before Tenjou had the chance to say anything more he was dragged to the battle field. Shizune looked down crying while holding the sleeping child in her arms watching the love of her life leaving.
