Chapter 4: 'A New Danger'

Cyndi was happily asleep in her bed when she heard some giant footsteps; at first she thought it was her mom or possibly her friends coming over early, but she looked out her window she saw something she'd never seen before..

.. a sea serpent!

I first she thought why the menacing creature was able to get onto land, but then her thought switched when her mom called for her downstairs. Dewey was at the door for one reason or the other.

"Dewey... what are you doing in my house? This is my property."

"Actually, I have a reason;" Dewey was starting to feel the sense of love as Cyndi was. "haven't you seen that sea serpent outside?"

"Yes; actually, I-" Dewey interrupted her sentence for naught. "As a sort of 'surprise' trip, mind if you come along with us on this mystery? We could always use some extra help."

Cyndi's eyes gleamed. "Of course! At least I won't be losing this great house of mine."

"Me too; we can't afford going homeless."

Knowing she was in a totally new area away from her mother, Cyndi stayed focused on where the Duck family was going.

"So, is the serpent here... of did it already go over there?" Scrooge asked.

"Um... the last time I saw him, he went" Donald pointed to his left. "in that direction."

"Okay, looks like we're going that way." Everyone started going towards the opposite direction of the sun, where the monster was likely to be found.

"I'm scared." Webby said. "Don't worry, Webby, you said you wanted to come." Louie reassured her.

"Does it look like I care?"

"Uh... no."

Suddenly, the crazy little duckling in the dress sensed the blue-greenish scaly body coming near her house, who just happened to be a few blocks away from Huey, Louie and Dewey's house. She knew they had reached their X.

"Guys, the sea serpent, it's right there!"
