Yoongi

The subtle breeze rustled the leaves that hung over Yoongi as he sat down under the tree that was placed in front of the park, giving a view of the entire area. He carefully puts the two drinks down that he had ordered earlier, balancing them on the uneven grass.

As if on cue, he glanced up to meet Hoseok's gaze. The two boys instantly beaming toward one another. Yoongi stood, brushing himself off before meeting Hoseok halfway to greet him in a welcoming hug. After letting go, the pair walked back to the shady spot.

"If I remember right, you like black coffee-"

Yoongi started as they seat themselves. He noticed Hoseok's slight blush as he grinned.

"Yeah, and if I remember right, your favorite is iced green tea-"

A chuckle escaped Yoongi's parted lips as he recalled telling Hoseok. The fact that such a small thing about the older boy was recollected by Hoseok made Yoongi feel cared for by the latter.

"You're correct."

The duo stayed in silence for a moment sipping on their arguably, opposite beverages. The silence broken by Hoseok's confusion.

"Wait- but do you still get iced tea during winter? Cause- like- it's cold and all-"

"Aren't you drinking hot coffee in the summer?"

"Well... yes, I am."

Yoongi smirked towards the said coffee drinker, watching him through his stages of understanding the last statement.

"Oh, OHH- OH MY GOD I GET IT NOW."

Both boys let out laughter, Yoongi found Hoseok's to be very contagious. He had also noticed himself easily doing his gummy smile in front of the younger.

Hoseok

The fit of laughter was calmed down soon, followed by Hoseok promising not to further judge Yoongi's tea drinking and then politely asking to sit on the swings.

"Thank you, and of course-"

Yoongi replied, standing first holding his hand in front of Hoseok. He accepted the asisstance and stood, grabbing hold of Yoongi's hand. But as they made their way toward the swings, Hoseok never felt Yoongi's grip loosen from his own. The slight contact caused heat to rise to the boys cheeks, but he ignored it as soon as he sat down and wobbled on the swing, having to adjust to the new seat. When he let his gaze wander towards Yoongi, he met his chocolate brown eyes staring into his own. Hoseok fell speechless, he didn't know if he should fill the empty stillness that was present around them. But he did know that he could stare all day and note all things he found beautiful on the older boy, everything.

It actually was Yoongi that broke the aura of quietness, faintly startling Hoseok.

"Hoseok, I think I like you."

"W-what?"

The younger coughed, stuck in complete stun at the unexpected confession. Unlike Yoongi, who had maintained his calm mood.

"I like you- it's okay if you don't like me back."

Hoseok's eyes began to widen. He didn't want to give off the wrong impression. If anything, the feeling was mutual, he just wanted to be sure of it.

"No- I mean, I think I like you too- I've just-"

"-been confused?"

Yoongi finished the sentence, feeling a sense of empathy. Hoseok chuckled softly, watching his shoe drag across the dirt below him.

"You couldn't have said it any better."
