Photo Albums and a Box of Letters

"She's been in there for two days straight," Idina sighed.
"Do you think she's okay?" Kristin whispered.
"I don't know. It's been long enough. Let's check on her," Idina muttered.
Idina put her hand on the knob to April's office, the place where Elizabeth had been hiding ever since Idina had talked to her.
The room was fairly small. In the corner was a computer, and next to it were many bookcases. A small desk was set in between two bookcases, and this was where Elizabeth sat. She was flipping through a photo album. More albums sat next to her, and a pile of letters were in a box.
"Elizabeth?" Idina whispered.
Elizabeth looked up. Her eyes had a bit of a glow to them that the two actresses hadn't seen in awhile.
"Hi," Elizabeth greeted. Her voice had a tint of happiness to it.
"What exactly are you doing?" Idina wondered.
"I took your advice. I'm feeling the love that's around me. I thought this was a good place to start. These photo albums are filled with pictures of April and I from now all the way back to middle school. This box of letters are all the letters we wrote to each other while we were in college. We went to separate colleges.
"I'm sorry I haven't come out. I just thought I couldn't handle all the love from you guys at once," Elizabeth explained.
"So, for the last two days, you've been looking at things from your past?" Kristin questioned.
"Yeah. It reminds of how much I love April," Elizabeth told.
"Have you eaten or drunk anything?" Idina wondered.
"I have not eaten, but...I guess it's time to tell you. You two turned the heat high because of April, but the more you turn it up to warm April, the more I lose the ice inside of me.
"I can no longer create ice, just water. That's what I have lived off of. But soon, I will completely melt. And if I melt....there's no personal flurry that will bring me back," Elizabeth sighed.
"Elizabeth, why didn't you tell us sooner?" Idina murmured.
"It was for April." Elizabeth gave a sad smile. "Some people are worth melting for."
"I think it's time you go see April. She has been asking for you," Kristin said.
"Okay," Elizabeth smiled.
The two Broadway actresses led the ice witch to April's room. April was lying in bed, yet she was not asleep.
"Hey, sweetheart, how are you doing?" Elizabeth murmured, kissing April on the forehead.
April smiled. "Better now that you are here."
"I'm sorry I have been away," Elizabeth apologized.
"It's okay. Whatever you did was for good because I can see the happiness shadowing your eyes," April smiled.
Elizabeth smiled back. She glanced at the door to see Idina and Kristin were no longer there.
"Do you need anything? I could get you something to eat or drink or something.." Elizabeth said, starting to walk towards the door.
"No," April pleaded, grabbing her hand. "Please stay."
"Why? What would I do? I just make you colder," Elizabeth told, knowing that that probably wasn't true due to her melting.
"Kiss my forehead again," April commanded.
Elizabeth gave her a questioning look then kissed her forehead.
"Both this time and last time you kissed my forehead, that spot suddenly got very cold, but in a split second, it became hotter than it was before. Elizabeth, the isolated, alone side of you was trying to push through, yet love overcame it.
"Please stay with me. I know you can save me, without or without your father," April whispered.
Elizabeth smiled down at her friend and sat next to her on the other side of the bed.
"Do you really believe that i can save you?" Elizabeth murmured.
"Of course I do," April responded, leaning her head on Elizabeth's shoulder. Elizabeth wrapped her arm around her in an attempt to warm her up.
"I was looking through the letters we sent each other in college. I can't believe you still have them," Elizabeth mumbled.
"Why shouldn't I? You kept all the ones I sent you, I kept all the ones you sent me, so when we lived near each other here, I had to keep them."
"It is absolutely amazing how long or friendship has lasted. It's been since middle school. Elsaba and Glanda," Elizabeth sighed.
"Elizabeth and April. By the end of high school, everyone knew about our friendship. There was no way anyone could separate us. Remember when Joshua Miller asked you out in junior year but said you had to ditch me. You punched him in the gut," April laughed.
"I hated him. Sorry, I disliked him strongly. Oh, and what about that time when Jacob Smith asked you to dance at Homecoming. You punched him in the gut."
"Then you punched him in the gut," April smiled.
"Oh yeah. We did like to punch people in the gut, didn't we?"
"Not that one time Kyle Andrews was dating me. That was when you said your famous like, "break her heart and I break your face.""
"Ah yes. Good times," Elizabeth muttered.
There was a moment of comfortable silence.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Elizabeth asked.
"Yes."
"We have the ability of freaking telepathy. Why didn't you use it the last couple of days?" Elizabeth wondered.
"I knew whatever you were doing was important. As weird as it sounds, I could feel it in the air, the brainwaves, the emotions. I knew you were getting somewhere, so I let you be you and figure it out. I'm glad you did. I hated not be able to talk to you," April admitted.
"I'm glad i figured it out, too."
The comfortable silence returned, and Glanda used her magic to turn out the lights. Yes, the Glinda side of her had more powers than changing peoples' clothes.
Soon, both woman fell asleep in that potion. April's head on Elizabeth's shoulder.

Please comment guys. I know that the middle of my story really sucked, and I want to know if you think it is getting better.
