Home Again

Alex awakes in her bed, sun streaming through the window. She considers rolling over and falling back asleep when the realization hits her. How did I get here? She bolts upright, immediately racked with worry for her husband and sister.
"Steve! Abigail!" She shouts feverishly. Steve comes running into the bedroom moments later.
"Alex! Thank Minecraft God you're okay!" He proclaims while running to embrace her.
"What happened? Why are we back at the house?"
"I used one of Hilda's potions to kill her but then you and Abigail passed out. I think it was because of her curse. It broke once she died but the remaining spell sapped away your energy."
"Is Abi alright?"
"She's still sleeping but I think she'll be fine," Steve reassures Alex.
A twinge of guilt creeps into Steve's mind. Maybe if he had been a little more observant, he would've noticed Abigail was cursed when they first met, then he could've killed the witch and avoided endangering Alex at all. He had led Alex right into a trap!
"Alex, I'm... I'm so sorry," Steve chokes out before collapsing into tears. Alex rushes to hold him.
"About what?" She inquires.
"It's all my fault you got led into that trap. You nearly got brainwashed because of my mistake."
"Oh, Steve, if it weren't for you I would've never been reunited with my sister. Even if there was danger on the way, it all worked out in the end."
"I- I guess you're right," Steve says quietly. The couple sits in silence for a long while before they are interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Alex? Steve?"
"ABIGAIL!" Alex shouts, launching herself into her sister's arms. Abigail staggers back, falling to the ground.
"Sorry!" Alex laughs, "I'm just happy that you're awake."
"I'm happy to be awake too-" Abigail says with a nervous chuckle before pausing,"Wait, Is everything alright? Did we defeat Hilda?"
"Yes, Steve killed her! Now you're free from that awful curse!" Alex exclaims. A smile starts to form on Abigail's face but falls in almost an instant.
"Alex, I... I don't know what I'm going to do with my life now."
"What do you mean?"
"I dedicated the past 15 years of my life to this meaningless endeavor. Now, I have to find a whole new life path, a new meaning, a new home. After all this time, I still don't know who I am. What am I supposed to do now? "
"Oh, Abi-'' Alex pulls her sister into a tight hug, "That's something you can only figure out with time. Until then, Steve and I are her for you. You can stay with us if you'd like, we'll even help you build your own home."
"I'd really like that... Thank you, Alex."
