Alyssa laid in the hospital, still unconscious. A calm looking Sky sitting in the chair beside the bed while a more frustrated Arestair paced around the room.

" Dude calm down. She's gonna be fine. "

" She's been unconscious for 4 days now! 4 FUCKING DAYS!  What if she never wakes up!" Ares yells at sky. Sky's mere existence irritated him.

"You know She's gonna wake up. She isn’t in a life threatening situation " Sky said in a rather calm voice which Ares ignored.

" Hey you, listen here fucker. Do something,  make her wake up!" Arestair gritted out as he held the poor doctor that just entered the room by his collar.

" S..sir, we did all we could. You were the one who ordered that she should feel no pain, or we should make her feel as less pain as possible. So we're keeping her a..asleep" the doctor ranted.

" He's right. If she wakes up before the healing process even starts, it’s gonna hurt her more. It’s better if she sleeps. The more she heals, the better. Don't push it." Sky added.

Arestair let go of the doctor and yelled in frustration. He just wanted to talk to her, look at her beautiful eyes, that stunning smile.

Arestair hadn’t left the hospital even for once after bringing a bloody Alyssa there . He wanted to be by her side when she woke up.

More like he didn’t want to let her out of his sight again. So, that ended up resulting in the whole second floor being surrounded by his men. He made his men bring him whatever he needed so he could stay 24/7.

In a way, he felt guilty. If he hadn’t agreed to her wishes and hadn’t left her alone, this might not have happened.

Alyssa's mom came to visit.  Fortunately Arestair was out to buy coffee and smoke some cigarettes to vent out some of his frustration. So she only met with Sky.

Her mom might have known Arestair but she certainly did not know who Sky was. She was a mess, crying and weeping, seeing her daughter like that.

Sky helped calm her down. But After knowing that encounter, Arestair made sure to stop  Alyssa's mom from coming to the hospital .

It's not like he cared about the woman, but Alyssa probably did not want her mom to know anything about her being in touch with him. So he obliged.

" Mam this is a bullying and physical abuse case and the police are handling it. We have been strictly instructed to not let any outsiders in until the victim awakens. Even if it is her mom. We know you are concerned but your daughter is safe and is in good hands. You'll be informed as soon as she wakes up, so no need to worry"  was all she was told before she was ushered out by the staff.

The woman was very reluctant to go but finally left after standing outside for a long time.

Connor and Rae had visited too, they both were sad. Arestair was annoyed with them.

"Aren’t you guys like, her friends? Her buddy buddies?  THEN WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU WHEN SHE NEEDED YOU! Some friends you are! MAYBE IF YOU GUYS WERE THERE SHE WOULDN’T BE IN A HOSPITAL BED RIGHT NOW"

Arestair had yelled at them, they both only stood silent with head held low.

" Hey man, yelling at them Won't change anything. They're just kids" Sky tried to ease his friend.

" Don’t mind him kids. He's just angry. " sky gave them a small smile.

" No, he's right. We really fucked up this time. We deserve it" Rae said in a low voice.

" I am curious though. Why the fuck did you both skip school that day?" Ares asked, this time in a calmer tone.

" Her.......her Birthday's coming up. It's right after the finals... ... We knew we couldn’t prepare a surprise party during the exam week.  So, we were planning for it beforehand " Connor replied while still looking at Alyssa.

" We wanted her 18th birthday to be special " Rae said as a tear dropped down.

This calmed down Arestair. He did know her birthday was coming. These two weren’t at fault. Only that Motherfucker was at fault, who right now, was in a dark dark place being tortured.

Right where he belongs, Arestair thought.

Rae and Connor come to visit often. Alyssa woke up on the fifth day, much to Arestair's relief.

He held her hand as she adjusted her eyes and took in her surroundings.

" Good morning dear" he said in the lowest voice possible.

" Hi. Where am I?" Alyssa asked. Her hoarse voice cracking due to not talking for 5 days.

" In the hospital. You were quite injured. "

" How long have I been here?"

"..... 5days..."

" 5 Days! I need to go back. Mom's gonna be so worried! And my exams.. Aahh" she tried to get up but the pain near her sides made her lay down again. Arestair also held her in place.

" You shouldn’t move. That fucker broke one of your ribs. So, Don't move. Don’t worry, your mom came here and visited you. She knows. And don’t worry about the exams either" Arestair said slowly, making sure she understood his words.

" M..my mom came here? Does she know what happened to me?" Alyssa asked to which Ares nodded.

" Did she meet you?" Alyssa again asked frantically.

" No. She didn’t and she doesn’t know about me. But why don't tell your mom anything?" Ares asked scrunching his brows.

" I just....don't want her to worry." was all she said before going back to sleep.

Arestair hand fed Alyssa a few times which made him content. He would sit by her side, stroke her hair, her cheeks and watch her sleep for long times.

He felt like she was starting to trust him a little. Even if that wasn’t true, at least she wasn’t as afraid of him as before.

Although he was having a good time, someone else was having an angry fit. Sky was dumped with all his paper work. The guy kept yelling at Arestair to come and do his shit Himself. But Arestair couldn’t care less, so he just ignored the guy.

As for Alyssa, she was shocked to see this mafia leader in such a calm and sweet behaviour. At first she was still cautious of him. But as days went by, she became more comfortable with him. In fact, she felt safe when he was around.

Partially because no one's gonna dare to hurt her as long as he's here. But also because he saved her life this time.

Arestair took her to the bathroom  whenever she needed to go. It was a little embarrassing. But seeing how careful and concerned he was for her made worries go away. He brought her anything she wanted.

She was actually loving how he was gently and softly holding her hand every time she went to bathroom as if she would break. How his hand were warm and so much bigger than her, yet they felt perfect.

Although she didn't want to admit it,  but She liked the way he cared for her and would always stay. It was super cute to her. She loved how he stroked her hair to sleep.

Once she woke up and saw Arestair change his shirt. His muscular yet lean back made her blush and hide her face in the blanket. His smile, his small actions would make her blush. Damn his handsome genes.

She knew she shouldn’t think like this about a mafia leader, but she couldn’t help it. She hated to admit it but she loved how she was being cared for. She found herself wishing for things to stay like this for a while.

Jordan and Luke constantly came to visit her and guarded the door. She always seemed to brighten up seeing them. Same for Rae and Connor.

This made Arestair feel kind of jealous. ' Why doesn’t she smile like that for me!' he thought.

Days went by like that. Alyssa's mom still hasn’t been let inside the hospital. The poor woman came and waited for hours every day but was always returned .

She still left her homemade food for Alyssa to eat.  This kind of reminded him of his own mother. The lady was clearly suffering, not being able to see her daughter. Alyssa knew about it though.

Ares thought she wouldn’t be happy with this method, but was surprised when she agreed with him and said this was best for her mom.

Alyssa was sleeping as Ares stroked her hair gently . Luke entered the room  and stood in front of the bed silently.

" What is it?" Ares asked without looking at him.

" I have a question sir" Luke said.

" Go ahead"

" How did you know she was in danger? We didn’t know she was in danger ourselves and we were right outside of her school. You weren’t anywhere near there. You suddenly came in such a hurry and screeched you car to stop then rushed inside the school- "

" It’s as if you knew she was being hurt. And we clearly didn’t call you either" Luke said in a confident voice.

He's always been a smart one, Ares smirked at that.

Arestair thought back to the locket he gave Alyssa. Fitting in a small micro camera, a microphone and a tracker in such a small locket was not easy, but this was probably the best thing he did.

He was glad he went the extra miles. He may have agreed to leave Alyssa alone Because he didn’t want to affect her studies. But he watched her movements through the camera whenever he got time.

He knew he was acting like a sick stalker but he didn’t care. He needed to see her and make sure she was safe. Or else he wouldn't be able to sleep .

The day Alyssa was attacked, he was in a meeting. The meeting was important so he had to give attention to it. But after about an hour he couldn’t take it and silently opened peeked at the camera connected to the locket.

His blood boiled as he saw a boy's face and the boy shoving his Alyssa to the wall. And then there was a sound of his Alyssa crying out in pain. The boy..hit her.

He hit his Alyssa

All thoughts of the meeting were out the window. He stormed out the room, Sky yelled at him but it was like he couldn’t hear anything, he couldn’t see anything. All he saw was red.

He drove fast, breaking all the speed limits and stormed inside the school. Luke and Jordan were bewildered but followed him none the less.

He found the classroom, the sound of Alyssa's pain filled cries made his heart thump against his chest so hard. It hurt him.

As he broke the door and went inside, the scene of Alyssa's chest being exposed and the mutt's hands inside her pants while she laid there limp with bloody bruises and cuts had made him lose his mind.

He will pay

He kicked the mutt and punched him until his face became bloody. The guy was unconscious, his nose broke, tooth bled but he couldn’t stop. He wanted this trash dead.

Nobody touches my girl.

Arestair had finally came to his senses when Jordan yelled at him that Alyssa needed him. He hadn't even realise Jordan has been pulling him this whole time.

He  rushed to her and tried to pick her up. She was barely keeping her eyes open. She hissed in pain making him stop and pick her up more gently.

" Bring him to the dungeons " with that he left for the hospital.

The pain and anger he felt when he heard that one her ribs broke was unbearable. He was never gonna leave her unprotected again.

" Sir..you didn’t answer my question " Luke said.

" I have my ways. And I do not have to answer you anything "  he said strictly.

Knowing he wont get an answer, Luke sighed and just left.

Arestair kept thinking, maybe he should give her more stuff that have the same functions as the locket. He could maybe do the same for shoes, hair clips, purses, dresses and gift them to her.

Not a bad idea, he thought as he smiled.
