Aahil POV

This was colourful. The people, decorations and vibe were making me feel like jumping with joy. Suddenly, the door to my Chamber opened and I looked at Haider slowly and secretly entering.

I laughed looking at him and he approached closer to me.

"What are you doing here?"

I asked and he looked at me with playful and excited eyes.

"Saara intzaam ho gaya hai,"

"Everything is prepared,"

He informed and a confused smile appeared on my face.

"What?"

I asked and he excitedly replied.

"The Mehfil,"

I lifted my eyebrows and looked at the young man who was looking excited from head to toe and I asked teasingly.

"Ohhhh, Mehfil?"

He nodded and smiled ear to ear.

"Yesssss, Mehfil, I brought the Hukaah and drinks and we found it here more,"

He informed and I asked.

"We?"

He chuckled.

"I and there is a young, handsome man out there who helped me arrange all those things,"

I furrowed my eyebrows with curiosity.

"Young man, who?"

He inhaled a deep breath and scratched his head a little.

"Rudi-, ahhh, Roma-, No... ahhhh, what was his name?"

He went deep into his thoughts and suddenly said.

"Radur, yess, Rudra,"

I placed my hand on his shoulder and asked.

"And, why does this handsome young man help you arrange all these things?"

He chuckled.

"We are friends,"

"Already?"

I asked and he looked at me.

"No, I know him. I met him almost two years ago when I visited Hind to meet Abhinandan, Nandani's brother. He is Abhinandan's friend,"

He informed and I smiled.

"Ohh, so where is Abhinandan?"

I asked.

"I mean, I have not met him,"

His smile vanished a little and he said.

"I do not know, I tried to ask Maamujaan but he said that he is out of the Kingdom,"

"But, it is his sister's wedding, Right?"

I asked and he nodded.

"Right, but maybe he will join later,"

He smiled and got excited again.

"Shall we go?"

He asked and I smiled looking at his excited face.

"What if your father finds you out drinking and smoking?"

I asked and he looked sharply at me.

"Yeah, that means we have to find a place where he will not visit,"

He said and his face seemed like he went deep into thinking.

"Your chamber, Abbujaan will never come here because it's his daughter and son-in-law's chamber,"

I took a step back.

"What??? No,"

I spatted back and he walked towards me.

"Aahil, you cannot say No, pleaseee. I want to have a good time. Just wait for me and I will be back,"

He said and already started walking away.

"Haider, wait... No,"

He closed the door leaving and I fisted my hands not knowing what to do now.

Ruhani would kill me if she would see me and him drinking together. But, remembering the taste and effect of drinking and smoking, I felt slight irritation in my throat already. It was like my mouth suddenly started watering.

But, I had to control. She would get angry, I thought.

I walked towards the door and asked the attendee standing outside to ask her to come to me.

Seeing her face would help me to control my urge.

He nodded looking at me and walked away.

But, before the attendee Haider came back with some attendees following behind him. One carrying the Hukaah and the other carrying the drinks.

"Yeah, yeah, come inside and place them here,"

He said to the attendees and I held his hand, pulling him into the corner.

"Haider, this is a very bad idea. Ruhani will kill both of us,"

He laughed.

"She would not. She is my sister. She is cool and she must be enjoying herself with Nandani. She must be discussing her fantasies and reading romantic books,"

He said and my smile vanished.

"So, you know that she reads romantic novels and all?"

I asked and he patted my shoulder walking towards the attendees.

"We are twins, Aahil Miyan. She is my best friend first then my sister,"

I smiled.

"So, you are sure that she will not be angry?"

I asked him and he nodded.

"Ofcouse,"

He agreed and I licked my lips which were already drying out to have a taste.

I looked at the attendees who already arranged everything on the carpet and placed the round pillows for us.

"But, only a few drinks, okay?"

I said and he nodded.

"Yes, just a few drinks,"

He said with excitement and asked the attendees.

"Thank you so much! You can leave,"

The attendees started walking out and they closed the door behind them.

But, then suddenly a loud knock happened and my lips curved into a wide smile.

"Here comes your best friend,"

I exclaimed to Haider and walked towards the door.

But, my smile vanished immediately when my sight fell on the attendee who informed me.

"Begum has asked you to wait,"

"Hahahahhahahaha,"

Haider laughed hearing it and I closed the door quickly.

"See, your Begum is enjoying herself and now you must enjoy yourself,"

He said and I walked towards him.

He sat on one side over the mat and held the Hukaah pipe in his hand.

"So, Aahil Miyan, please be seated and hold the glass,"

He said and sipped the dark red liquid.

My throat was drying out and I looked at my glass. I stared at it and remembered the intoxicating feelings of drinks that makes me feel really good.

My hand could not stop from holding the glass and I brought it near to my lips.

But, then the thought of what happened to Ruhani during the miscarriage started blurring my vision.

I placed the glass back and looked at Haider.

"I will drink after asking her first,"

He laughed and took a long and deep drag of the Hukaah and released the smoke. The intoxicating smell of Hukaah hit my nose and I closed my eyes.

Where are you my Jaan?

I heard him sipping the other glass and I opened my eyes to look at him.

"Haider, pipe?"

I asked and he handed me over the pipe and looked at me.

"So, Aahil Miyan, what do you think you should do to make a girl fall for you?"

He asked and I cupped the Hukaah's pipe with my lips. Taking a deep and long drag, I closed my eyes and released the smoke. The smell and taste in my throat instantly lightened my mind and I exclaimed.

"Kuch to tareeke batate hai magar ek umar bhi kam ek dil jeetne ke liye,"

"Many tell the ways but a whole life is sufficient to make someone fall for you,"

He looked at me and gulped another sip.

"So, how did you win Ruhani's heart?"

He asked and I looked at him taking another drag of the Hukkah.

"I did not win her heart. I just submitted myself to her. I am her's to love, to hate, to console, to scold and she is beautiful inside and outside,"

I exclaimed and his eyes soften looking at me.

"Hum Ghazal ko pasand karte hai, jaante hai nikaah to ho jaega magar darte hai kabhi vo mohobbat dekh paenge unki aakho me hamare liye, jo Ammi ki aakhon me Abbu ke liye hai, Jo Ruhani ki aakhon me aapke liye hai... Ghazab cheej banayi hai shaadi bhi, kayi baar log pass rehkar bhi bahut door hote hai us marz ki dawa mohobbat hai,"

"I like Ghazal, and I know that we will get married someday but I am afraid If I will ever be able to see the kind of love in her eyes for me, the love I see in my mother's eyes for my father, the love that I have seen in Ruhani's eyes for you... Such a strange thing a marriage is, sometimes two people are too far even being closest to each other and love is the medicine of it,

He said and I smiled hearing his words.

"That is true, you really think deeply, Haider,"

He chuckled and asked.

"When did you realise that you love her?"

I took another drag and closed my eyes to rewind all the moments we spent together. But, unfortunately, could not find that one single moment which I could call the moment I fell for her.

I opened my eyes and looked at him releasing the smoke.

"Ek muddat se khuwaish thi un nighahon ki jinko ek jamane tak doondha humne,"

"For a long time, there was a desire for those eyes which I searched for a life,"

"What?"

He asked.

I smiled and explained.

"There is not one moment which I call the moment when I fell for her. It is like, she slowly captured me and became my habit. Now, I just cannot stay away from her. She is my drug and the best character of a drug is that it intoxicates you very slowly,"

He smiled listening to me and passed me the glass.

"Trust me, she will not get mad. I know her,"

I plastered a smile on my face and asked.

"How are you so sure?"

He inhaled a long drag of the Hukaah and released the smoke saying.

"She respects boundaries. She is not a person who likes to control someone's life. That is her speciality. She is open-minded and takes everything positively. Has she asked you to stop drinking?"

He asked and I shook my head.

"No, but I think she will get angry,"

He chuckled.

"Have a drink and we will see,"

He said and I gulped as my tongue already gave me a glimpse of the taste this liquid would give me.

"Okay,"

I said and brought the glass close to my mouth. I gulped the drink and clicked my tongue.

"It tastes so fine,"

I commented and he informed me.

"Imported from southern Arab,"

I lifted my eyebrows and questioned.

"Really?"

He nodded and then he kept on passing glasses and he drank a whole jug. The drags keep on increasing and we talked so much.

It was like, I finally found one friend with whom I could share about myself, and my thoughts and he would give me unnecessary sympathy and judgements. I just liked those from my wife.

"So you know, Ruhani wrote a painful Shayari for you,"

Haider said and I looked at him thinning my eyes.

"What?"

He nodded.

"Before, the wedding when she was waiting for your answer and there were rumours around that your mother is looking for another girl as your wife,"

He exclaimed and I asked.

"What she wrote?"

He looked at me and read it.

"Ishq-e-kaifiyat khwabeeda maalum hoti hai Aashiq ab hume,

Muqadass mohobbat-e-naghme bhi ab simat rahe,

In begairat deewaro se bhi ab kya shikwa or gile,

Umr bhar ke khwab hamare vo kisi or ki aakhon me talaash rahe,"

My lips instantly curved into a wide smile and I muttered in a slow voice.

"Very deep,"

He nodded and I asked.

"Do you like writing Shayaris too?"

He chuckled and exclaimed.

"I am interested in Ghazal,"

And, I burst into laughter.

"Hahahahahhaha,"

"Of course,"

The alcohol had already started working and I could feel getting dizzy and high already.

And, suddenly the door pushed open and I panicked as hell.

My sight fell on laughing Ruhani with Ghazal and their eyes landed on us sitting on the mat over the floor, surrounded by the vessels of alcohol and Hukkah.

Her smile vanished and she thinned her eyebrows asking me.

"What the hell is happening here?"

Haider also straightened looking at them and he instantly dropped the pipe of Hukkah.

"Ghazal,"

She blushed looking at us and I looked at Ruhani who closed the door and walked towards us.

"Okay, what is happening here?"

My eyes just froze looking at her. She was looking so beautiful in the Lehnga and she looked at me.

"We are just enjoying,"

Haider said and she asked looking at Haider.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it was Aahil's idea,"

He added and I looked at him.

"What?"

I asked with shock.

He looked at me with pleading eyes and muttered in a slow voice.

"Please, Ghazal is here and I cannot break my great impression in front of her,"

I inhaled a deep breath and looked at Ruhani who sat beside me.

She took the glass from me and kept it aside.

"You should not be drinking, Aahil. You are still healing and it will affect your health,"

She said with the soft voice and I looked into her eyes that were wearing dark kohl.

I gulped looking at her beautiful smile and doe eyes that were looking insanely attractive.
