Two weeks later on Veldin

Kaden walked around a small garage that he found all beat up and run down. Azimuth, Kaden’s wife Flora and him lived here for the moment. It was small but it was big enough for them. Azimuth has been good to Kaden and Flora, he brought them both up to speed with everything. He explained want as happened in the passed 22 years, but the last thing Kaden remembers was sending his only son, Ratchet here. He knew that he would be safe. he wondered if Ratchet made it. Kaden didn't think about it as he think the worst. 

"Flora?" Kaden asked walking over to his wife who sat on a chair outside the garage.

"Yes Kaden?" She asked, her pale blue eyes stared into Kaden’s green ones. She already knew what he was thinking when she stood up and came to hug him. 

"Do you think our son is out there somewhere?" Kaden asked pushing away as Azimuth came and sat down on another chair.

"I'm sure he is. If what Azimuth says is true and we were dead for 22 years, Ratchet would be 22 now and probably on an adventure somewhere." Flora said. "I'll go get us a drink and we'll walk about it later." Flora walked back into the garage. Kaden sat down opposite Azimuth. 

"What do you think?" he asked Azimuth. 

Azimuth looked worried about it when he asked him. "I think he is. He's was a smart boy."  

I looked at him weirdly. "Wait? Was?"

Azimuth realised what he said, "I meant 'is'" he said smiling. Flora came back with three cups of milk. She passed one to Azimuth.

"It doesn’t matter right now Kaden, what matters now is that we are here and that we'll be reunited with Ratchet soon." Flora said handing Kaden the cup of milk and placed her hand on his shoulder. Kaden stood up

"I'm going to look around the garage. There is still one place I haven't looked around." Kaden said. Flora smiled at him and started talking to Azimuth. He knew Azimuth didn't like it here. He said it 'brought back to many bad memories.' Kaden just says grow up and be a man. He went into the small room in the back of the garage. There was a small single bed and a few maps of stars on the walls. Next to the bed as a bedside table with two draws. Kaden put his milk on the top the table and he opened the bottom one first to find a bunch of Lombax clothing. He closed it and opened the top draw and lying in the draw was his old OmniWrenchwhich he gave Ratchet when he sent him here. Kaden walked out the room looking at the OmniWrench, Flora almost dropped the other two cups as she walked into the garage and saw Kaden with the wrench. Azimuth followed and stopped dead in the middle of the room. Kaden looked up at Flora. 

"Flora do you know what this is?" he asked walking to her, taking the two cups and handing her the wrench.

"Wasn't this..." She started.

"It was mine, he has upgraded it though. I gave it to our son when I sent him here. He lived in this garage and that was his room." Kaden explained. He put the cups on the kitchen bench

"You said you saw my son two weeks ago, just before you found us, Azimuth, did he have a OmniWrench like this with him?"

Azimuth looked at Kaden. "Yes. And a robot strapped to his back" 

He stared at him with happiness. "So my sons alive and lived here." Kaden said. He felt like he was going to faint. "I'm going to go for a walk." he took the wrench from Flora and went outside. Kaden walked for about 10 meters away when he saw something sticking out of a wild berry bush. He went over to it and curled under the bush. The thing underneath the bush was a broken robot. He carefully picked it up and went back to the garage. He knew my son is around here somewhere. Azimuth almost had a heart attack when Kaden brought the robot in. Flora thought he was crazy.

"If Azimuth said that a robot is connected to Ratchet, maybe it might be this one and might be able to tell me where he is.” Kaden took the robot to Ratchets bedroom and found his tool box under his bed and he set to work on repairing the poor robot. It took Kaden a couple of hours to get it working. He helped it stand up once it was on and trying to make sense of everything.

"Ratchet?" It asked once it was ready to talk. It blinked a bit before it thought Kaden was Ratchet and it jumped on Kaden, hugging him. "Oh my Ratchet your alive! I thought you were dead!" Kaden pulled the robot off him and looked at him concerned. Kaden sat him on the pillows on the bed and turned to face him

"Sorry little robot. I'm not Ratchet. He's my son, I’m Kaden." Kaden thought the robot started crying when he said that. It put its face into his hands. " are you ok?" he asked.

The robot didn't answer. Kaden thought about it just said ‘Your alive, I thought you were dead’. What does that mean? He thought

The robot pulled a photo out of its self and someone else.

"What's your name?" Kaden asked

"Clank" it answered staring at the photo then at me. "Why would Azimuth do that?" It asked itself.

Kaden looked at Clank. "What did Azimuth do?" he asked concerned

"He killed my best friend." Clank said with sadness in its voice.

"Who's your friend?"

Clank looked at Kaden. "My best friend was your son, Ratchet."
