Epilogue

Ara pulled at the fabric on her thigh. She pouted at her reflection as she criticized the way she looked. She felt uncomfortable from the nerves that seemed to electrify her veins. She wanted nothing more than to change into leggings and a sweater before crawling into bed. She huffed and turned away from the mirror to grab her phone.

The only had to ring twice before he answered.

"Hello Beautiful."

His voice brought her nerves some peace. His words warmed her cheeks.

"Hobi."

She whined his name, making his smooth chuckle tickled her ears.

"What's wrong, Beautiful?"

"Is tonight really necessary? I think just sitting on the couch together and watching something would be a much better plan."

"We do that often. Tonight is going to be special."

"Isn't the special part that we're together though? Not what we do?"

She couldn't help the grin as she listened to his laugh. "Nice try, Beautiful. We're going out."

"I just don't see the purpose of it."

"The purpose is I asked you out on a date. I want our first date to be one you can remember."

She bit her bottom lip as her stomach did a somersault. Hearing Hoseok's voice curve around the word date still did indescribable things to her.

"Now why don't you stop fussing and come outside. You have a pabo waiting to see how absolutely stunning you look tonight."

Of course she already knew how perfect Hoseok was at everything he tried, but she hadn't expected him to be so good at making her insides melt.

"You are a pabo." She muttered before disconnecting the call.

She grabbed a small clutch and slipped her phone in it. She eyed herself in the mirror again. She didn't hate how she looked. She had picked a deep purple dress that came to mid thigh and softly fell off her shoulders.

Shaking her head, she pushed herself out the door. She inhaled deeply before stepping out the front door. She wasn't able to let the breath go once her eyes fell on the sight before her.

Hoseok was there, resting easily against the side of his car. He was dressed in a gray suit. His hair was adorably brushed down on his forehead. His hands were in his pockets. His bottom lip was pulled into his mouth as he stared at her.

He managed to pull himself together and hurried toward her. Standing before her, he grinned wide enough to split his lips.

"You look absolutely stunning."

"You look better."

He extended his arm to which she accepted. He led her to his car and opened the door for her. After making sure she was safely inside, he closed the door. He quickly went around to get in the driver's side.

"What's on the agenda for our date then?"

She fidgeted with her dress as she kept her eyes toward the front window.

"Dinner and maybe a movie."

"And you're sure we couldn't do that in the comfort of at least one of our places?"

He snickered as he started the car. "Not like this, we couldn't."

He kept one hand on the steering wheel as he pulled away from the curb. His other hand slowly reached over and grasped hers. He swallowed hard as he held her hand delicately in his.

It was crazy to think he was finally here. He had been building his courage for months, preparing to confess to her. He was still incredibly anxious that at any moment she would change her mind. He gave a slight squeeze to her hand and felt the rest of his body warm up at the action. Finally.

She couldn't wipe the grin off her face. It was certainly different, being like this with Hoseok. It was new and exciting. When he looked at her, she could feel the flutters in her abdomen and the fuzz in her brain. She loved the way he looked at her.

They arrived at one of the fancier places in town. Ara tried to keep her mouth closed as a gentleman opened her door. He extended his hand to help her which she tentatively accepted. Hoseok joined her side after handing the car over. He took her hand and wrapped it around his arm.

"Hobi, this is way to,"

Her sentence trails off as his warm, pursed lips touch her cheek. She blinks and he's back at her side. His smile is so charming.

"How many times do I have to tell you that our first date is going to be a memorable one?"

"At least seven more."

They both chuckle.

Stepping inside the restaurant was like walking into a different world. Ara and Hoseok were a couple. They sat at a table for two. He ordered for them both. They held hands from across the table. When the food appeared, they shared. He even fed her a bite or two. They talked and they laughed.

At the end of dinner, he insisted on desert. She shook her head and found her eyes trailing to a band she hadn't noticed before. They played a soft, slow tune. She watched as a few pairs made the area into a makeshift dance floor.

"Would you like to dance?"

While she watched the couples sway, he watched her. He was fascinated by the way her face lit up at the suggestion. She bit her lip before looking at him.

"I don't think they'd be prepared for our kind of dancing."

He rolled his eyes, but then stood up. "I know how to waltz."

"Of course you do." She snickered but gave him her hand. He pulled her up and wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her toward the dance floor.

He rested both of his hands on her lower back, pulling her close to him. She giggled, laying her hands on his shoulders. She had a hard time looking into Hoseok's eyes and not blushing. She dipped her head, resting it on his chest.

"Have I told you that you look beautiful today?"

"Only a few times."

"You are the most dazzling thing I've ever seen."

"Hobi."

"I'm just the happiest when I'm with you."

"I'm happy too."

"Good. I want you to always be happy."

He pressed his lips against her temple. His cheek leaned against the top of her head. He held her like she was the most precious thing in the world to him.

They stayed like that until the end of the song. He carefully led her back to their table where desert was waiting. She felt ridiculous as he insisted on feeding most of it to her.

Before either could blink, the night was over. Hoseok was pulling up to the curb just outside her place. His chest felt heavy as he got out of the car. He came to her side to open the car door for her.

She stepped out and hesitated before him.

"I had the best time tonight, Hobi."

"I did to, Ara. Thank you for coming out with me."

"We'll do it again, right?"

His heart soared. "As many times as you'll let me."

"Good."

She licked her lips. Her eyes darted from the door to him. Tension seemed to fill the space. She wasn't sure what to do.

"I guess I'll see you then."

She turned to head toward the door, trying her best to just flee from the awkwardness. Hoseok wouldn't let her go that easy. He reached out, grabbing her wrist before she could move.

She slowly turned back around. Her eyes met his. He felt like his whole body was shaking from nerves. He gave her a small smile that she returned.

"I hope you sleep well."

He moved forward slightly to kiss her cheek. He paused as his lips brushed against her skin. He felt like he was on fire. If he left without trying, he knew he'd regret it.

He brought his free hand up to her face, letting her cheek fit comfortably in it. He swallowed before glancing at her lips.

"Goodnight, Hobi."

Her lips curling around his name was the last push he needed.

He closed the space between their lips. It was an innocent peck, but still the utmost sensual feeling. He applied the lightest pressure. His lips had captured her lower lip in between them. He savored every moment of feeling her against him.

He pulled back slowly.

"Goodnight, Ara."

Hobi is just the sweetest. I had so much fun writing this one. Hope you guys enjoyed the little sneak peek into Hoseok & Ara's future.

I do have one question for everyone reading this though. I know you may not have commented on my story and that's okay. But I'm having a hard time deciding on what I should do next so I need your help! Please comment on this one to tell me what you'd like to read next.
