Bede x Gym Leader Reader

Still not getting requests. I'll do this and see if you change your mind.

Bede walked through the gym, ready to start the day. He saw Opal already there, but she was on the phone, talking to someone. Wasn't it too early to have calls? It was 6:30 AM.

"Ah, so you are coming to Galar?" Opal asked.

"Yep! I'm still studying, but I think I've done enough!" the caller said. "Of course, I'm still Miss Valerie's apprentice, though we don't specialize in the same types. There are so much Pokemon in these regions! Sorry that I couldn't take over the gym like you asked me, Gran." From her voice, Bede could tell that was a girl.

"Oh, that's fine," Opal brushed it off. "I've already found someone who can take over. He already took it over."

"I see! I'll meet you at the airport today! The plane should arrive at 9 or so," the caller replied. "I can't wait!" Then they ended the call.

Opal turned around, seeing Bede. "So you're here," she said.

"I am the Gym leader," Bede reminded her.

"As you heard, my granddaughter is coming back to Galar," Opal said calmly, "she'll just 'help' you with your business. And no, not the kind of help with battles, but to manage your time. You're only a kid once, so you'll take turns and shifts."

"What's her specialty? I know who Valerie is, she's a fairy-type gym leader from Kalos," Bede noted, "But she did say that they don't specialize in the same types."

"Poison."

"Okay-wait, what?"

"Her specialty is Poison," Opal said. "She has a team, and she's been meeting with various Poison-type specialists to study under them. Now she's coming back. The gym leaders are coming to watch how she is, too. You'll also battle her to see what skills she has."

A girl ran down with her Pokemon, which was a Muk. Not any Muk. It was an Alolan Muk. She had loved it after getting her Galarian Weezing from her grandmother. Sure, Weezing had a bond with her, but Muk was the real deal. It was the first Pokemon she ever caught. It was colorful, like her, but she didn't want to reveal that yet.

The girl wore a very long labcoat but her sleeves fit perfectly. She wore black boots that peeked out of the coat. On her head was a white beret hat that covered her hair and hid it, too. There was a belt around her waist that made the labcoat look like a dress. She wore a pair of goggles that reflected the lights on her eyes.

She ran down with her Muk, which everyone admired, to the downstairs of the airport. Who was she? She was Opal's granddaughter, a Poison-type specialist. Her name was (Name). She finally stopped running when she spotted an old woman wearing pink and light blue, mostly.

"Grandmother!" (Name) called, waving. It must have been really weird for everyone else, because who calls their grandmas "grandmother" anymore? Muk waved, too. The old woman waved back.

"Ah, so my other successor came!" Opal sighed. "And who is this one?" she asked, looking at Muk.

"This is Muk. I captured it in the Alola region when I was studying under Acerola, the Ghost-type expert there," (Name) answered. "Because of the toxic wastes in Alola, Muk changed into different colors by consuming all the various chemicals. It's a Poison and Dark type Pokemon."

"Do you still have the Weezing I gave you?" Opal asked quickly.

"And I caught so many other Pokemon, too!" (Name) added. "I can't wait to explore Galar once more!"

"I'm glad to hear that you're learning many new things about Poison Pokemon," Opal nodded, "now let us go to Ballonlea! My other successor is waiting for you."

"What was it like in Kalos? To study under a Fairy-type expert? Especially Valerie herself?" Opal asked.

"Kalos was amazing! Valerie really does know how to bring out the best in Fairy-types," (Name) answered. "I heard that your successor appeared in the Pokemon League. I can feel the vibe that he and his Pokemon are strong! We won't back down either, right, Muk?"

But Muk was nowhere to be seen.

She saw her Pokemon looking at a bunch of flowers. "MUK! YOU CAN'T GO DISAPPEARING LIKE THAT!" (Name) scolded. Muk apologized.

They finally arrived at Ballonlea. The city was so colorful. The gym looked like a fairy-tale story kind of place. As they entered, there were people standing there, as if they were waiting for someone.

"Hello," (Name) cleared her throat, getting everyone's attention. "Is anything the matter? Why are all of you so quiet? Y'all are like my Pokemon when I'm doing a toxic experiment."

"So you're Opal's granddaughter?" one of the people asked.

"Yeah, so?" (Name) asked.

"I am Bede," the person said. "I am Opal's successor, or at least, the Fairy-type specialist."

"Oh, if we're introducing ourselves now, then my name's (Name)!" (Name) greeted. "Poison-type expert and traveler, or at least, I used to be."

"Shall we battle?" Bede asked, pulling out a Pokeball.

"Who'd say 'no'?" (Name) asked, grabbing her ball out.

The battle began with a four-on-four. (Name)'s other two Pokemon watched from the sidelines, cheering her on. Bede's Pokemon were Mawile, Gardevoir, Rapidash, and Hatterene. (Name)'s Pokemon were Beedrill, Venusaur, Muk, and Weezing.

[Time skip]

By the time they were onto their last Pokemon, this was no time to hold back. All other three Pokemon had fainted. It was up to Muk and Hatterene.

"No time now, it's time for me to get serious, too," (Name) said, taking off her goggles and replacing it with a lower half gas mask. She took off her lab coat and her beret, revealing her clothing. Her clothing was matching to Muk's.

It was black, but there were parts of hot pink, electric yellow, toxic green, and neon blue. She wore a very short crop top with one short sleeve and one long sleeve. The long sleeve was on the side of the black glove, and the short sleeve was on the side of the long and colorful fingerless glove. She wore very low waist-line shorts.

On the side of the short sleeve, the leg had a stocking of color with short boots with thick and colorful soles. The other leg had a long black boot with neon colored soles. It was decorated with poisonous and toxic shades of various colors. To someone who was refined like her, this was very inappropriate looking and bad-girl styled.

Her hair also matched, too. Her hair with (hair color) roots with toxic shades and versions of neon colors seemed to strike out. Her (eye color) eyes seemed to blend in with the surroundings. "I'm counting on you, Muk... Don't let me down..." she said in a rasp voice, due to her mask.

Bede Gigantamaxed Hatterene as (Name) and Muk got ready to fight.

"Can't you feel this in your bloodstreams?" (Name) asked psychopathically. Bede remembered that (Name) can get crazy in a battle, and if Bede could bring that persona out, that was good. "I guess you can't... But this power... it makes me want to extract the poison out of your body and inject it over and over again... Until the poisonous activity is so high, you start to decay!"

"I hoped so," Bede muttered.

This was their Trump Card.

"Muk! Here we go, and nothing's holding us back but ourselves!" (Name) exclaimed, putting her arms into an X. She brought her arms out, her left arm was glowing because of some kind of bracelet. She put her arms out like a punching stance, but she put her in the middle, and the left was on top of the right.

Then she brought her hands to the opposite side of the glowing bracelet. She held an invisible pulse and then brought her arms out into some kind of flying position that has been drowned in poisonous liquid. Muk glowed with power.

"Hatterene!" Bede yelled.

"Muk, give it all you got- use the Acid Downpour!"

"Use G-max Smite!"

The battle ended in a draw. Both Pokemon had fainted. (Name) and Bede accepted their defeat and victory, and draw. They shook hands. (Name) put her lab coat and her outer attire back on as the two both left to heal their Pokemon. The Gym leaders watched in astonishment. What on earth was that move? Acid Downpour, was it?

Later, as the two finished healing their Pokemon, (Name) and Bede accidentally bumped into each other.

"You!" they shouted at the same time, pointing at each other accusingly.

"What are you doing here anyway?" (Name) asked.

"Same thing I was about to ask you," Bede countered. "What are you doing here?"

"I came out to train."

"So we came for the same thing."

There was a brief moment of silence before (Name) spoke up. "Why don't we train together?" she suggested with a red face. She lifted her goggles.

"Sorry, what?" Bede asked, his face going red. A boy training with a girl? That's usually the type of love that really starts out.

"Um... I..." (Name) stammered. "Let's just train, shall we?"

"Al-alright..." Bede muttered. The training was quiet. Bede could've sworn that he saw her before, and the other way around, too.

Months later, they were training. Bede and (Name) had grown to the feeling of training with each other, and they talked a little more. Yet, it was still quiet. Today, Valentine's day had arrived. (Name) waited by the forest, holding a box with two Megastones and two Keystones. The Megastones were a Gardevoirite and a Mawilite.

It was Bede's turn to battle the gym challengers, and he was supposed to come late. Finally, he came exhausted, probably from the battle and running. When they were about in a distance to talk, (Name) held the box in front of him.

"Happy Valentine's day," (Name) said. Bede took the box, and he opened it, seeing four marble shaped objects with a twist that looked like an "S".

Bede shook it off and brought her some flowers. "You too..." He looked at the stones.

"Those are Mega stones and keystones..." (Name) told him. "You Mega Evolve your Pokemon with them... with one mega stone and one keystone, you can Mega Evolve on Pokemon... You can Mega evolve only once in battle... It's like Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing..." She gave the flowers to her Beedrill, who happily went into the flowers, making honey.

Today was the day. (Name) had grown feelings for Bede, who did for (Name). They were going to confess. "Hey, Bede, I-"

"(Name), I-" They looked at each other as they were 'interrupting' each other.

"Oh, were you going to say something?" (Name) asked.

"Uh... I think it can wait, you?" Bede looked at her.

"Why don't we say it at the same time?" she suggested.

"Okay..."

(Name) counted to three. 1, 2, 3-

"I like you a lot!" they screamed together with red faces. Well, from Kanto and Johto(the regions are based on parts of Japan), (Name) said "Koishiteru!" which literally means, "in love", but it meant "I'm in love with you!"

"What?" Bede asked.

"I mean... I'm in love with you..." (Name) drew off. Bede was silent for a second before grabbing her face and kissing her.

"Me too, (Name). Me, too."
