jonah peeked over corbyn's shoulder, his eyes narrowing at the phone in corbyn's hand.

"what'd he say?"

"hey." corbyn frowned.

"just hey?" jonah furrowed his eyebrows.

"just hey." corbyn confirmed.

jonah rolled his eyes, mumbling small profanities at the other boy before looking back at corbyn.

"do you have a picture of him?"

"no. why would i? i met him a few minutes ago."

jonah clicked his tongue, pulling out his phone before typing something, "what'd you say his name was?"

"daniel?"

"last name?"

"uh, seavey i think. s-e-a-v-e-y." corbyn spelled out.

jonah hummed, looking down at his phone again.

"hold on." the brunette mumbled under his breath

corbyn furrowed his eyebrows at jonah as the brunette concentrated on his phone, his tongue peeking out of through his lips.

"here! i think i found it." jonah suddenly exclaimed, thrusting his phone in corbyn's face.

corbyn looked at the boy with wide eyes before shaking his head, taking the phone from jonah with a small thank you.

"that's him?" corbyn asked, his tone distant as he silently scrolled through daniel's instagram page, gawking at the picture every few seconds

"you should know you just had lunch with him." eben teased.

"wow."

a knowing look and matching grins were shared between the two, watching corbyn gawk at the boy on his screen.

"he was adorable, he's so shy but he's so funny, and his photography- did i tell you about the photos- they're great-"

"breathe daniel." jack laughed, "we get it, you found your soulmate."

"stop, i'm not saying i found my soulmate, i'm simply saying he's amazing and i wanna get to know him." daniel sighed, pressing his feet together on the countertop he was sat on.

"so get to know him." zach shrugged.

"it's not that simple z." daniel scoffed.

"but it is, don't you have his number?" the brunette questioned.

"yeah, but-"

"and didn't you tell him you didn't want what you guys had to end."

"i know, but look-"

"so why not practice what you preach and just text him." jack questioned, raising a brow up at the older boy.

daniel glared at the two in front of him, "why can't you guys just let me have my momentary existential crisis in peace." the boy huffed.

"because of the way you're talking about him, you're gonna psych yourself out and not want to text him." zach pointed out.

"i wouldn't not talk to him." daniel lied.

"do you smell that zach?" jack suddenly started sniffing around in the air.

"i think i do smell it, jack." zach nodded, following jack's example as he started sniffling around the air as well.

"what? what do you guys smell?" daniel asked, confusion seeping into his tone as he questioned the boys.

"cap."

daniel scoffed, rolling his eyes as he jumped down, trudging to him room as he flopped down on his bed.

"okay, help a guy out; pros and cons."

"pro," zach started, "you get a boyfriend and you're happy."

"cons," daniel argued, "i get rejected painfully and my reputation gets tarnished."

"now why would you even go there." jack rolled his eyes, "i haven't even met the guy and that's such a stretch."

"true." daniel sighed.

"oh my gosh daniel, you're sending a simple text not asking the guy for nudes, send it or i will." zach threatened.

"fine, fine. i'll text him." daniel relented, pulling out his phone, messing around with it for a bit, "okay i just wrote hey."

"lemme see."

daniel flipped his phone around, jack's eyes scanning over the message before he quickly brought his hand up, pressing the send button.

"dude!" daniel protested, flipping his phone back around, "are you kidding me right now."

"what?" jack asked innocently.

"i hate you so much."

"you should be thanking me right now i just saved you from having another "justified" existential crisis" jack scoffed, putting up finger quotations around the word justified.

"it was justified thank you very much." daniel pouted.

"anyways." zach interrupted, ignoring the glares both jack and daniel shot at him, "pull up his instagram i wanna see what he looks like."

"what if he doesn't have one?" daniel asked.

"what college student doesn't have instagram?"

"a lot actually."

"well you won't know unless you actually check, will you?"

daniel recoiled at the passive aggressiveness in zach's tone as he went to instagram.

"sorry dang, i'm pulling it up right now."

the room went silent for a few minutes, daniel occupied with his phone as he searched instagram for a certain blonde, his interest peaked as he clicked on an account.

"woah." daniel mumbled.

"guess he found him then." jack chuckled, prying daniel's phone out of his hands to take a look.
