THIRD PERSON POV

Iris laughed as Zac shovelled his second handful of fries into his mouth. Josh and Grace watching him in awe. Sure, Gracie had landed a double axel jump before, but this was just that little bit more impressive.

Josh's gaze averted to Gracie who was laughing at her friends. He is so glad he drove down to Utah a few days earlier than he was meant to- he would've been so gutted to know that he missed out on, not only Gracie's win, but also this moment.

"I want ice cream," Iris licked her bottom lip comically, "Strawberry,"

"Trash," Zac pushed the food tray in between them at her, "Strawberry is trash and you know it,"

"You ate it with me last Tuesday!" Iris scoffed.

"Because you were sad and hormonal, I was doing it to make you feel better- I am a great friend" Zac justified his actions.

"I'm going to leave the happy couple and go and get a milkshake," Grace turned to her left to look at Josh, she felt the wind get knocked out of her lungs as she realised how cute he looked tonight. He was in a puffy jacket, a scarf wrapped around his neck- he claiming he was still recovering from the hyperthermia that the ice rink kindly gave him- he cheeks still tinted red "Care to join me?"

"I would be honoured," Josh slipped out of the booth seats and was about to help Gracie up from her seat, his hand in hers- but stopped.

"Wait," Josh pulled his phone from his back pocket, "Hold still," Gracie smiled as she watched him crouch down into a squat position, knowing he was most likely spamming the capture button- getting all of the angles. "Perfect," he smiled at his screen. He thought she looked gorgeous.

"Let me see," Grace tried to lean over to see the picture.

"You look perfect," He put his phone back in his pocket.

"Josh-"

"Perfect," He leant forwards, their faces inches apart. Grace felt her heart speed up at how close they were. She whispered an almost inaudible 'okay'. Josh chuckled, helping her up.

As the sound of Zac and Iris bickering drowned out as they walked away, Grace's knuckles brushed against Josh's. A small smile made its way onto Josh's face. He swallowed the lump in his throat and the anxiety in his chest and slowly grabbed her hand; intertwining his fingers with hers.

His heat sped up when she went up to order... she didn't let go of his hand. He heard her order one for himself, Iris and Zac. Always looking after other people.

As they waited, Josh opened up Instagram on his phone and posted the picture he took of Grace. He didn't have many posts on social media, but soon his page would just be filled with pictures of her. He really really really liked her.

"Gracie," He started, the words about to tumble from his mouth- he had to bite his tongue to stop himself from spilling the truth.

"Yeah?" She smiled up at him. He swears, her smile could be the death of him.

"I uh-" He looked down at her lips, quickly averting his gaze- not needing Grace to catch him lusting.

"I uh-" Grace mocked him, "What?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go skating tonight?" He sighed with a smile. It wasn't the right time...

"Skating?" Gracie chuckled, "I just got off the ice," She grabbed the milkshakes from the man, holding the cup tray with one hand.

"Who said anything about being on the ice?" Josh grabbed hold of her hand and pulled her back towards their table.
