SECOND DAY

The ladies were aiding the wounded and injured soldiers. Maharani Sudeshna and Uttara as yesterday were making the medicinal paste, although Uttar had died they had no time to mourn.

Sagarika entered the tent and looked at them sadly, Sudeshna just lost her son and was acting like nothing was wrong. Sadness was evident on Uttara's face but again she tried hard not to show it.

"Senapti-Bharya ? The paste will be ready in a moment." Sudeshna said breaking Sagarika from her thoughts.

"Yes. I came here to tell you that not many soldiers are coming today so we can assume the Pandavas are having an upper hand." Sagarika said.

"That is good to hear." Sudeshna said. Sagarika went closer to her and kept a hand on her shoulder.

"What Uttar has done shall be remembered forever. And don't worry we will emerge victorious today and in the war. The sacrifice of Uttar will not go in vain." Sagarika said. A tear fell from Sudeshna's eyes.

"You know I am not sad, Uttar always wanted to be a brave warrior. I didn’t expect this type of Bravery." Sudeshna said wiping her tears.

"Well me must get on, we have no time to mourn." Maharani Sudeshna said getting back to her work.

"I wish we did." Sagarika muttered and went outside the tent.

It was evening time and all the head ladies that is Sagarika, Draupadi, Kunti, Uttara and Sudeshna were together in a tent as there were not as many soldiers and the ones who were there can be handled by the dasis.

They all were discussing and making list of things that are required for the war. Sagarika was writing everything down.

"And what about the herbs ?" Sagarika asked.

"We have enough for 10 days." Uttara said.

"And what about beds ?" Sagarika asked Kunti.

"I think we need more, atleast 500." Kunti said, Sagarika wrote it down.

"And Jiji do we have enough food ?" Sagarika asked Draupadi.

"We need atleast 14 more sacks of wheat." Draupadi said and wrote that down.

"Anything else we need ?" Sagarika asked, they all shook their heads.

"Alright then, we will have all the items by tomorrow afternoon." Sagarika said.

"That's great." Maharani Sudeshna said.

Suddenly they heard the sound of Shankh-Naag and also drums. A smile appeared on Sagarika's faces.

"Hear the drums ?" Sagarika asked.

"Yes but what does that mean Choti Maa ?" Uttara asked.

"It means we emerged victorious today !" Sagarika said excitedly.

"Thank Narayan !" Kunti said.

"Well then let's go and welcome them !" Draupadi said running outside, the ladies followed her.

Outside they saw the warriors entering happily that they won but there was a hint of disappointment on their faces.

They all went straight to the medical tent as they were wounded and injured from the fight especially Bheem. Today they fought with all their might and strength.

Draupadi was applying medicinal paste to Drishtadyumn and Sagarika was applying it on Arjun. While Nakul was aiding Bheem's wounds and Krishna was sitting beside Yuddhistir.

"Today's victory was necessary and now the soldiers are sure that we will win the war." Drishtadyumn said.

"We could have won the war today itself but the caliber of Pitamah outdid us." Nakul said disappointed.

"It was not Pitamah's caliber. Jyesht Bhrata didn't fight with all his might." Krishna said, Yuddhistir sighed nodding.

"But Madhav Pitamah has the boon of Iccha-mrityu. He can't be slain." Arjun said.

"He may have the boon of self-willed death but not self-willed victory. He can surely be wounded to an extent that he becomes incapable of fighting the war." Sagarika said.

"Even that is impossible Sagarika, the body of Pitamah is pure. We won't be able injure him." Bheem said.

"No one's body is pure Bhrata Bheem. Whether it be the tree of babool or the tree of Sandalwood, once it dries it has to burn. That's the law of nature. Whosoever stands in the way of punishing the Kauravas should be killed." Krishna said.

"Senapti-Bharya what should be our Vyuh for tomorrow ?" Drishtadyumn asked.

"A spy informed me that Pitamah is planing to make the Garud Vyuh tomorrow. In its form, the Garuda Vyuh resembles the Krounch vyuh, with a subtle difference that it resembles an eagle." Sagarika said.

"And how do we counter that ?" Arjun asked.

"I suggest you to counter that with Ardha Chandra Vyuh that is the Half crescent moon formation." Sagarika said.
