Jay, chained to a wall, is reading Clutch Powers' Boobytraps and How to Survive Them book "That Clutch Powers guy might have run off to save himself, stranding us here, but I have to admit: his book is pretty good!" He hears a rumble "It has a section for everything. Even, what to when all is lost. He recommends vocal exercises, like: ♪Brobrogoo-goo♪!  ♪Brobrogoo-goo♪!"

"How is saying a bunch of nonsense possibly going to help us?" Lloyd questions

"It says that it keeps you calm by relaxing your face" Jay keeps singing "♪Brobrogoo-goo♪! ♪Brobrogoo-goo♪! ♪Brobrogoo-goo♪! ♪Brobrogoo-goo♪!"

"Jay if you don't shut up I'm going to shove my foot up your ass" Aria's eyes glowed purple

Jay immediately stopped singing "Ok ok easy girl, no need to go all scary I'm stopping"

"Perhaps Clutch didn't abandon us. Perhaps he went to seek help" Zane suggested

 Aria growled "Sure! And maybe the evil snake queen we just accidentally released from an ancient tomb is headed for Ninjago City for some sightseeing!"

"I find that highly unlikely" Zane replies and Aria groans

"We need to update your sarcasm circuits, Zane. If we get out of here" Nya says

"We wouldn't even be hanging here if Jay hadn't opened that crypt!" Cole shouts

"Me?! Aria's the one that didn't warn us in time!" Jay shoutd

"How can you blame Aria?! Who opens a possibly cursed tomb without checking it out first?!" Lloyd argues

"So says the boy who opened every other snake tomb in Ninjago" Aria says

Lloyd sighs "Even when I'm defending her she has to tease me"

Jay grabs the chain and slightly pulls Lloyd downward "Opening a tomb is how you check it out!" He pulls the chain lower "And what about Kai, hmm?" Kai is still unconscious "He's the one who let Aspheera steal his power!"

Kai is flipped upside down by Jay.

"Hey! Watch it!" Nya shouts "be careful"

Jay smiles sheepishly 

"We just have to figure a way out of here. Any ideas?" Lloyd turns to Aria "Any?"

Aria lights a fire in her hand but it goes out "...excuse me" she tries again "what the fuck!?"

"Calm down" Lloyd says "their might be a reason"

"Great" Aria growls "My eyes are blue! My powers won't work! What the fuck else?!"

Jay gasps "Maybe there's something in Clutch's book! He's got a chapter entitled: Escaping from Close Calls" He starts reading the book. Torches in the room slowly start to burn out. The room turns pitch black for a moment "Aw, great! Now I can't even see!" An orange glow lights up the room "Oh. That's better!"

"Uh, Jay? Not better!" Nya points towards the lava.

The lava is starting to fill the room.

"...I fucken jinxed it" Aria groans

Jay starts panicking "Incoming lava! DON'T PANIC! Clutch has a whole chapter on rising lava. I just have to turn to that page. WAH!" The book falls into the lava "Gah! Oh, that book was our only hope!"

Lloyd turns around and stands on the wall, being held on by the chain "Everyone! We need to get out of this room" He tries breaking the chain "Follow my lead!"

The Ninja all stand on the wall and try breaking the chain, except for Aria and obviously the unconscious Kai. The chain finally comes loose. The Ninja are dangling from the wall, partially attached to the chain and near the lava. Nya tries pulling them up. She swings them, along with herself, onto a platform, they groan in pain.

Aria takes the chain and breaks it off her arms without the ninja noticing,

Lloyd smiles "Nice work, Nya. Now let's get out of here and save Ninjago City from Aspheera. What do you say, Ninja?"

"Yeah!" The ninja run in different directions, but come back bumping into each other due to still being attached to the chain "Aw! Ow!"

Aria crosses her arms "idiots"

Lloyd points to the entrance of the room "That's how we came in. How about we all go that way together"

The Ninja run out of the room. Lava starts flowing through the room, Kai is being dragged, Aria is just following them. The Ninja stop at the broken pillar.

Cole uses his lava arm to pull up the pillar. Jay looks at the lava flowing towards them and gasps. Aria, Nya and Zane pass through. Jay passes, yanking Lloyd and Cole. The barrier falls and almost hits Kai.

"Cole! You could've smashed Kai!" Jay shouts

"Me?! You yanked me out!" Cole argues

"Guys! We need to stop fighting and work together!" Lloyd shouts "Look, it's time we faced it. Master Wu's right. We've gone soft. Not just individually, but as a team. We have to put aside our differences and—"

Cole looks behind him "Uh, Lloyd?"

Lloyd sighs "No, let me finish. We work together or Ninjago will fall for—"

Zane points at lava behind Lloyd "Lava!"

"No, not lava! I was talking about Aspheera!" Lloyd shouts

"No! Lava! Right there!" Nya points behind Lloyd "Right now!"

Lloyd looks behind himself, worried "Ahh!"

The Ninja starts running. They run down steps and Kai bumps into a sarcophagus while being dragged, causing the Ninja to fall back. 

"Oh, man. I hope Kai's not gonna remember any of this" Cole says

The sarcophagus opens, with a mummified Pyro Destroyer's body falling out of it. Lloyd and Cole look behind them and see lava flowing towards them. The Ninja begins to run. The lava starts resurrecting mummified Pyro Vipers, while also resurrecting the Pyro Destroyer.

"You know, I'm starting to think this isn't your ordinary garden variety lava" Nya says

Jay gulps "W-What gave you that idea?"

The Pyro Vipers walk out of their sarcophagi and run towards the Ninja.

"Uh, aren't mummies supposed to be slow?" Lloyd questions

Jay steps up "Don't worry. I'll just open up a can of Spinjitzu on their bandaged butts! Ninja-Go!"

Jay does Spinjitzu.

"Wait!" Lloyd shouts

Aria looks away. The Ninja are all spinning while attached to the chain. The Pyro Viper try attacking, only to be knocked back by Jay's Spinjitzu tornado. The Ninja are all tied up, a Pyro Whipper gets up.

"Come on! Let's get out of here!" Lloyd shouts

The Ninja begin hopping, Aria sighs and follows them. The ninja hit a wall and debris falls on the room's entrance, blocking it. The Ninja hop through the spike pit and fall on the ground. 

Jay turns and looks at a skull wearing a hat "Ah!"

"Relax, that's just Hageman" Cole says

"You say that like I should be totally cool running into a long deceased explorer!" Jay shouts

"yeah yeah I've seen tons of dead people, let's get a move on" Aria picks up Hageman's backpack "A long deceased explorer has a backpack full of gear we need to make it up to that passageway"

The Ninja put on spike shoes. They turn around and see the lava, they run towards the passageway.

Nya climbs the folded passageway stairs using the pickax "Did anyone know that Kai was this heavy? What did he eat for dinner last night, a cinder block?!"

"Seriously, I am DONE with cake jokes from Kai after this" Cole attempts to stick his pickax into the stairs, only for it to slide off. He starts slipping "No more cake jo—o-woah!" he falls backward and slides down the stairs.

"Good grief" Aria covers her face

The Ninja start sliding down until Nya sticks her pickax into the stairs again.

Jay almost falls into the spikes "♪Brobrogoo-goo♪!"

"Nobody move!" Zane starts pulling the others up.

Lava starts filling up the spike pit, just as Jay is being pulled up by Zane. 

Aria sighs "Stop almost dying, come on boys"

"wait a minute when did you get out of the chains?" Lloyd asks finally noticing

"Well aren't you observant" Aria says sarcastically "The minute we got off that wall I was free, i have the strength of an Oni. Let's go"

The Ninja make it out of the passageway. They run towards the wooden bridge and stop.

"Oh yeah! This thing! Come on! We're home free!" Jay walks onto the planks and falls through. Lloyd grabs onto the chain "Ah-ah! Pull me up! Pull me up! Pull me up!"

Lloyd pulls Jay up "I gotcha!"

Jay starts panting.

Nya: Maybe that was just a bad step?

Nya puts one foot onto two planks, which both snap. Nya backs up, just as the whole bridge collapses.

Jay starts panicking again "♪Brobrogoo-goo♪!"

"Will you stop that?! It doesn't help!" Aria shouts

"♪You haven't even tried it♪!" Jay sings

"We need a plan" Lloyd says

"Like what, Lloyd? What kind of plan could possibly help us get out of this mess? There's no bridge!" Cole shouts panicking

"Then we make one" Lloyd suggests "We become the bridge! We link our arms and hands and we make a bridge!"

"A Ninja bridge!" Jay shouts

"You say that like it's a thing. That's not a thing!" Aria shouts

"calm down" Lloyd says placing a hand on her shoulder "You're snapping at everyone more then usual"

"Don't touch me" Aria pulls away from him

Lloyd sighs "Look, we all know we haven't been working together the way we used to, but Ninjago is relying on us. We're the only chance they have. And if we can't bridge our differences and work together, then there is no hope"

"I'm not usually big on crazy plans, but we don't have much choice" Cole says

"He's right, let's do it" Nya agrees

Jay is holding up the other Ninja while Aria stands off to the side

"Okay, on three, topple" Lloyd instructs "One. Two. Three!"

The Ninja topple over and make a bridge, with Jay being on one end and Nya in the opposite end. Nya sticks her pickax into her the side she's on.

"Okay, Jay. On three, let—"

Jay pushes himself forward, causing the Ninja to swing to the other side.

The lava rises up towards Jay "Why is it always me?!" The Ninja climb onto the side they're on, as Jay gets pulled up "Ahh!" Jay climbs onto the platform.

"Aria!" Lloyd shouts seeing she's still on the other side "wh-"

"I'll get out of here on my own!" Aria shouts angrily and runs back

"No!" The ninja shout

"Aria!"

"Come back!"

"guys we have to go or none of us will get out" Nya says

The Ninja stare a bit longer before they run out of the room. The Ninja get out of the pyramid, only for lava to surround it.

"What do we do?" Cole asks

Lloyd shakes his head "I..I'm sorry. I failed us"

"No. We failed each other" Zane says

"Especially Kai. He didn't help at all" Cole says looking down at the still unconscious Kai

"Brobrogoo-goo. Brobrogoo-goo" Jay sings

"Brobrogoo-goo" Zane repeats

"Brobrogoo-goo. Brobrogoo-goo. Brobrogoo-goo" the ninja sing together

Suddenly, P.I.X.A.L. flies toward them in the ShuriCopter. The Ninja all cheer.

"P.I.X.A.L.!"

P.I.X.A.L. lowers a hook. Cole attaches the chain to the hook. P.I.X.A.L. flies the ShuriCopter back to the Desert of Doom.

"Thank you, P.I.X.A.L. We would've literally been toast without you" Lloyd says a bit sadly

"Did Aria not make it?" P.I.X.A.L asks

Lloyd sighs "I don't know"

Nya places a hand on his shoulder "I'm sure she got out fine, she's just stubborn, you know her"

"Let's get those chains off you" P.I.X.A.L says "There is no time to waste. A Serpentine witch has raised an army and is laying siege to Ninjago City"

Kai wakes up "Ugh. Where am I? What happened?"

Jay turns "Kai, buddy!"

"You're awake!" Nya shouts happily

"Long story short: the Serpentine witch that stole your powers is attacking Ninjago City. We've got to stop her Fast" Lloyd explains

Kai stood up

"Oh and Aria's... somewhere" Cole says "you know her... always going off on her own"

P.I.X.A.L. cuts Kai's chain.

"Uh. Okay, but-ugh!" Kai touches his face "Why does my face hurt so much?"

Jay has flashbacks of Kai being hit against different walls.

Lloyd's chain is cut and he looks at the Ninja "here's the important thing: we're free again and ready for round two. Aspheera has no idea what she's in for now. Ninja, go!

The Ninja raise their fists in the air. The Ninja rides the ShuriCopter, Land Bounty, Rock Cycle, and Katana 4x4 towards Ninjago City.

Aria lifts her feet up above the lava "great idea Aria, you jut had to be stubborn and now you're going to burn for it" Aria sighs

Their's an explosion above her and she looks up to see a hole

Hanabusa peers down at her "now now princess you won't get away from your royal duty's that easily"

"Hanabusa" Aria says happily

Hanabusa reaches down and pulls her up out of the pyramid. Aria sees a flying ship, Hanabusa leads her over to it. Kaname grabs her hand and helps her onto the ship with Hanabusa following. They fly away.

"Kaname" Aria says surprised "I've never seen you leave the palace before"

"I leave all the time" Kaname walks over to the front of the ship "Your eyes are blue which only means one thing"

"And what is that?" Aria asks

Kaname looks at her "You've lost control of your powers"
