It's been a few weeks since we found out I could leave my body. Since then, we've been working on seeing what else I can do. The Man has been coming in less and less often, and he untied Girl 2 the day after she was bound. She's free to move around our small cell.

We decided to keep our names hidden; it's such a mess in our small world that we don't think it's a good idea to bring up too much of the personal side of us. Maybe it makes us feel less attached, in case something happens to her.

We found out a few things. I can completely materialize myself, as if I'm alive again. I can also do the opposite; I can disappear and stay that way for long periods of time while still being outside my body. I did this a week after materializing my hand, which was probably good because The Man took my body for a few hours. When he came back, the scent reminded me of the dissections we did in my human anatomy class before I was kidnapped. I guess he wanted to preserve my body...

We don't really know what he could possibly be planning. Why does he wat to keep me around if I'm already dead? He can't possibly know about 'ghost' me, or he would've somehow used it to his advantage by now.

Girl 2 thinks I should leave the room soon. She says I can go explore the building, maybe think of an escape route. I went out into the hallway a bit a few days ago, but The Man started heading towards our cell and I don't want her to go through the pain alone. It's hard to leave her alone, I don't want her to come to the same fate that I did. Plus, The Man would just bring in a girl 3.

But today, Girl 2 has convinced me to explore all the rooms on this side of this hallway only, and then the other side tomorrow. As I walk into the only room to the right of ours, I hear the sound of rats or mice scampering about that I had become accustomed to in my time here. I used to be terrified of them, but when rats are the closest thing you've had to company in months, you learn to tolerate them.

I look around at the almost barren room, and see the shadow of a dresser in the far left corner. I walk over and materialize only my hand, so that I can quickly disappear again if The Man were to come in. I open the first three drawers, but they're empty. I move to the last drawer but before I can pull it open I hear Girl 2 screaming and I know The Man has paid her a visit. I quickly rush back to our room and see that he has only given her one quick gash under her left arm, and now he is tying her hands behind her back again. He begins to speak just as I come into the room.

"Come on Girl 2, we're going to get you girls a new bedroom." He stops to throw my body over his shoulder, and pushes Girl 2 in front of him. We turn the left of the room; and he moves three doors down. He shoves Girl 2 into the new room and sets my body into the corner.

"This is where you'll be staying. You can stay here and read or whatever else you can find in here as long as you behave. Don't try searching for weapons, there are none left. Have a nice night Girl 2. I'll be visiting you tomorrow."

As The Man leaves the room, I feel myself being yanked back into my body, and into the nothingness.
