She never found herself any friends besides her cousin, Alexander, who was born the same year she was. But that all changed when she argued with the only other Hispanic kid in her 3rd grade class about how vampires were better than werewolves, an opinion that she still thinks and an opinion that landed a lifelong friendship with two weirdos named Scott and Stiles.

The three were inseparable, especially after Alexander had moved on to become friends with the dreadful Jackson Whittemore. They did everything together, Stiles even asked Camelia to the 8th grade dance when Scott managed to get a girl to say yes. He swears that's the only reason he asked her but she swears it's because he liked her. Either way, the feelings allegedly fizzled out when high school rolled around.

It's a time in your life that you're supposed to be excited for, a time you're supposed to be memorizing for the day you'll have kids and bore them to death with your nostalgia. And it was... for a single year.

Then, Camelias boyfriend broke up with her. Then, she found this weird book written in latin in her attic and strange shit has been happening ever since. Then, Stiles started flirting with her. Then, Scott become good at lacrosse overnight. And the icing on the cake? Her father's death that kick started this whole mess.

The funny thing is though, she had a dream of her father's death just days before and she prayed she would never have to live through it. God must've mistaken her prayers for wishes.
