"May is Memoir Month!" My true (embarrassing) story.

So this happened to me 5 years ago ,as I recall, but it is not something I'm proud of. In fact I'm using a lot of my willpower to actually write this. Well here goes! #memoirmonth

The weather was truly a piece of work, it was breezy yet humid with the sun beaming down on us like a child showing his mother their new artwork. After all it was Florida, due to the heat and excessive sweating my sister, brother, and I decided to step out of the house *No AC, I never meant to leave you* and go to the complexes pool.

Surprisingly the peanut shaped pool was empty, "Whole pool to our selves!" My brother, Anas, whooped. Anas canon balled into the pool yelling "KAMIHAMIHA!" My lovely sister, Bouchra, put our towels on three separate chairs then gracefully walked into the pool. As of I? Well I collapsed right when the water touched my feet, because I can.

My brother and I had major water fights while my sister magically became a mermaid and swam a round the pool, or so I thought she was a mermaid.

After 45 minutes or so, my brother claimed his place as the God of waters, Poseidon, while I was exiled just as Ra had been.

Then my brother's friend invited him to go play X-box or something, so my lame excuse of a brother ditched us. 20 minutes later I decided to try back flipping into the pool, now let me just say, bad idea. I stood on the main floor directly beside the 7 feet, and may I remind you there is a second foot-long step about 10 inches in the pool.

I readied myself and pushed down my nerves while my dumb brain chanted, "DO IT! DO IT!" But my smart side of my brain, which is rather small, yelled, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, IMAN?! YOU DUMB ASS GET YOUR MIND STRAIGHT! STOP IT THIS INSTANT!" I really should've listened to my smart side, but hey what can I say? I was being peer pressured by my dumb brain!

I jumped backwards and flipped then I felt a sharp pain shoot up my skull and felt my spine fall into itself and for a second I saw through the water clearly. What felt like an eternity was only a few seconds, then I finally fell into the pool. I couldn't breath in the water, but that was the least of my worries compared to the feeling of a thousand rocks being thrown at my skull.

I felt a pair of hands pull me up to the surface and saw a pair of warm brown eyes looking at me with worry, I instantly recognized them, it was my sister. I gasped for air grabbing her upper arm, when she saw that I wasn't bleeding she broke down laughing. Confused I just snarled at her, " you know your little sister is dying and your just laughing!" I grumbled.

She apologized and explained why it was so funny but I couldn't pay attention because the pain was that overwhelming. Black spots appeared in the corner of my eyesight as my sister helped me to my seat and towel. She gave me a Ziploc bag that had scrambled German pancakes as I snuggled into my towel trying to ignore the pain. For about 30 minutes I felt like a girl watching 'The Notebook' for I was sobbing and eating, best combination ever!

Time passed quick and finally we went home, by the time we went in our apartment my skull was better, or so I thought. After I went to sleep I was soon awoken by another pang of pain, that hurt so much that my parents took me to the hospital.

This was a pretty damn painful and embarrassing experience and I just shared it with the internet. Oh gods what have I done? So yeah, I hope you liked reading my painful experience just as my sister enjoyed watching it!
