POA 12

It's been a few days since Harry's lesson with Moony. I'm currently sat leaning against Ollie side in the common room whilst he's going over his plan for the next game against Ravenclaw.

"Ollie" his head snaps up to look at me.

"Yea" he smiles at me.

"I need to show you something" I say looking down at my hands. He notices taking my hand in his.

"Okay"

"I can't show you here. Come with me" I stand holding my hand out for him which he takes standing up before we both leave the common room and head to the forbidden forest.

"We can't go in there" he says stopping.

"Do you trust me"

"Of course I trust you"

"Just follow me I promise you are completely safe" he hesitates a bit but starts to follow me. I lead us to the clearing taking his hand so he can cross the barrier as well.

"What was that" he looks around trying to make sense of what just happened.

"It's a barrier that's designed to keep people and the things in the forest out of this clearing" he looks at me confused "this is essentially my safe place I guess you could say"

"Why do you need a safe space"

"Ollie I need you to promise what I'm going to show you stays between us. Harry doesn't even know and I need you to know"

"Rory I would never tell anyone things about you" I take a seat on the ground and motion for him to do the same.

"I have extra powers that aren't exactly normal" I glance down at my hands then back to his face.

"I kinda guessed there was something about you. I've noticed people magically trip when you're around if they say something about you or someone you care about" he smiles at me.

"Okay don't freak out" I raise my hand creating a small tornado in the palm of my hand, he looks at it amazed.

"Wow"

"That's only one of the things I can do" I make the tornado disappear before replacing it with a flame and then putting it out with water I created with my other hand.

"Aurora you are truly amazing" I smile at him.

"There's more" I say placing my hand on the ground feeling the shape taking place. Once I've finished I lift the small replica of a broomstick up made of stone and place it in his hand. "I can also control energy and make shields but I'm still working on controlling that"

"You're scared of my reaction aren't you" I nod "Rory, this just makes me like you even more. You're truly amazing and I'm glad you felt safe enough to tell me" His lips find mine as I forget all my worries for a bit longer. Before long we decide to head back as its nearly curfew.

Todays the day of the game against Ravenclaw. Luckily Harry got the Firebolt back just in time which the whole teams thrilled about especially Ollie. I go to find Hermione to see if she want's to sit with me seeing as her and Ron aren't currently speaking after he found blood on his sheet and automatically blamed it on Crookshanks. She also wasn't talking to Harry after he took Ron's side. Truthfully everyone thinks Crookshanks probably did eat Scabbers but that's what cats do.

"Hey Mione" She turns to look at me.

"Hey Rory did you need something" She looks sad but I can tell she's trying to hide it. I know how she feels after Fred didn't speak to me for weeks, it hurts when someone who's meant to be your best friend stops talking to you.

"I was wondering if you wanted to sit with me at the game" I smile at the younger girl.

"Really. Yes please Rory I was going to sit alone otherwise"

"Come on then I need to wish my boys luck" We head to the great hall to find the team. As we enter I hear Ollie's voice

"Put it here, Harry" Harry lays the broom in the middle of the table and carefully turning it so that its name faced upward. People from the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables were soon coming over to look. Even Cedric Diggory came over to congratulate Harry on having acquired such a superb replacement for his Nimbus, and Percy's Ravenclaw girlfriend, Penelope Clearwater, asked if she could actually hold the Firebolt.

"Now, now, Penny, no sabotage!" Percy told her heartily as she examined the Firebolt closely. "Penelope and I have got a bet on. Ten Galleons on the outcome of the match!" Penelope put the Firebolt down again thanking Harry before going back to her table. "Harry make sure you win," Percy said in an urgent whisper as I reached the team taking a seat next to Ollie who puts his arm around my waist placing a kiss on my cheek. "I haven't got ten Galleons. Yes, I'm coming, Penny!"

"Sure you can manage that broom, Potter?" We all look to see that Draco Malfoy had arrived for a closer look, Crabbe and Coyle right behind him.

"Yeah, reckon so" Harry answered him casually.

"Got plenty of special features, hasn't it?" Malfoy said his eyes glittering maliciously. "Shame it doesn't come with a parachute in case you get too near a dementor." Crabbe and Goyle sniggered.

"Pity you can't attach an extra arm to yours, Malfoy" Harry said with a smirk. "Then it could catch the Snitch for you." The Gryffindor team laughed loudly as did a few others close enough to hear including me. Malfoy's pale eyes narrowed, and he stalked away. They watched him re-join the rest of the Slytherin team, who put their heads together, no doubt asking Malfoy whether Harry's broom really was a Firebolt.

"Good luck guys" I say giving the twins and Harry a hug before turning to Ollie and placing a kiss on his lips before the Gryffindor team set off for the locker rooms. The weather couldn't have been more different from the last match against Hufflepuff. It was a clear, cool day with a very light breeze. I head up to the stands with Hermione going to find a seat whilst we notice Ron with Dean and Seamus.

The Gryffindor team walked out onto the field to a loud applause. The Ravenclaw team, dressed in blue, were already standing in the middle of the field. Their Seeker, Cho Chang, was the only girl on their team. She was shorter than Harry by about a head. She was smiling at Harry as the teams faced each other behind their captains.

"Wood, Davies, shake hands," Madam Hooch said briskly and Ollie shook hands with the Ravenclaw Captain. "Mount your brooms, on my whistle three two one" The team kicked off as Harrys Firebolt zoomed higher and faster than any other broom he soared around the stadium and began squinting around for the Snitch.

"They're off, and the big excitement this match is the Firebolt that Harry Potter is flying for Gryffindor. According to Which Broomstick, the Firebolt's going to be the broom of choice for the national teams at this year's World Championship" Lee called out.

"Jordan, would you mind telling us what's going on in the match?"interrupted Professor McGonagall's voice.

"Right you are, Professor just giving a bit of background information. The Firebolt, incidentally, has a built-in auto-brake and"

"Jordan!" McGonagall scolds him again

"Okay, okay, Gryffindor in possession, Katie Bell of Gryffindor, heading for goal" I see Harry streaking past Katie in the opposite direction searching for the snitch. The Ravenclaw seeker Cho Chang was tailing him closely. She was undoubtedly a very good flier, she kept cutting across him, forcing him to change direction.

"Show her your acceleration, Harry!" I hear Fred yell as he flew past in pursuit of a Bludger that was aiming for Alicia. Harry rounded the Ravenclaw goalposts and Cho fell behind. Just as Katie succeeded in scoring the first goal of the match making the Gryffindor end of the field go wild. Harry had seen the Snitch as he dived, Cho saw what he was doing and tore after him. Before he could get the snitch a Bludger, hit by one of the Ravenclaw Beaters, came pelting out of nowhere causing Harry to veer off course avoiding it by an inch as the snitch vanishes again.

There was a great "Ooooooh" of disappointment from the Gryffindor supporters, but much applause for their Beater from the Ravenclaw end. George vented his feelings by hitting the second Bludger directly at the offending Beater, who was forced to roll right over in mid air to avoid it.

"Gryffindor leads by eighty points to zero, and look at that Firebolt go! Potter's really putting it through its paces now, see it turn Chang's Comet is just no match for it, the Firebolt's precision- balanceis really noticeable in these long"

"JORDAN! ARE YOU BEING PAID TO ADVERTISE FIREBOLTS? GET ONWITH THECOMMENTARY!" McGonagall scolded Lee again. Ravenclaw had now scored three goals, which put Gryffindor only fifty points ahead meaning if if Cho got the Snitch before Harry, Ravenclaw would win. Harry dropped lower, narrowly avoiding a Ravenclaw Chaser, scanning the field frantically. He spotted the Snitch, it was circling the Gryffindor goal post. Harry accelerated but just then, Cho appeared out of thin air, blocking him.

"HARRY, THIS IS NO TIME TO BE A GENTLEMAN!" Ollie shouted as Harry swerved to avoid a collision. "KNOCK HER OFF HER BROOM IF YOU HAVE TO!"

"You tell him Ollie" I shout as he sends me a quick wink. Harry turned and caught sight of Cho who was grinning at him. The Snitch had vanished again. Harry turned his Firebolt upward and was soon twenty feet above the game. Cho was still following him deciding to mark him rather than search for the Snitch herself. He dived again and Cho, thinking he'd seen the Snitch, tried to follow as Harry pulled out of the dive very sharply whilst she hurtled downward. He rose as fast as a bullet once more before spotting the Snitch again. He accelerated towards the Ravenclaw end as Cho did the same.

"Oh!" Cho screamed pointing. This distracted Harry as he looked down. Three dementors, three tall, black, hooded dementors, were looking up at him. He plunged a hand down the neck of his robes whipping out his wand before shouting.

"Expecto patronum!"Something silver-white, something enormous, erupted from the end of his wand and shot directly at the dementors as he carried on with the game. He stretched out the hand still grasping his wand and just managed to close his fingers over the small, struggling Snitch. Madam Hooch's whistle sounded. Harry turned around in mid air and saw six scarlet blurs bearing down on him; next moment, the whole team was hugging him so hard he was nearly pulled off his broom. Down below all that be heard were the roars of the Gryffindors in the crowd.

"That's my boy!" Ollie kept yelling. Alicia, Angelina, and Katie had all kissed Harry whilst Fred had him in a tight grip. The team managed to make its way back to the ground. Harry got off his broom and looked up to see a gaggle of Gryffindor supporters sprinting onto the field, Ron in the lead. Before he knew it, he had been engulfed by the cheering crowd.

"Yes!" Ron yelled, yanking Harry's arm into the air. "Yes! Yes!" I made my way over to Ollie who pulled me to him, placing his lips on mine.

"Well done Ollie" I finally spoke once he pulled away, his arms around my waist.

"Well seeing as we won I think I deserve another kiss. Don't you?" He had a cheeky grin on his face as I pulled his lips back to mine. At some point Harry had discovered that the dementors weren't real and were just Malfoy and his ground of idiots. I finally pull away from Ollie.

"I'm going to congratulate my brother. Coming?" He nods and takes my hand in his as we head over to the rest of the team. Releasing his hand briefly I pull Harry into a hug. "Well done Harry. I'm proud of you"

"Wheres our love" Fred says behind me.

"Yeah feeling a bit left out here" George adds as I turn and pull them both in for a hug.

"You two were great as well" I say before going back over to Ollie lacing our hands together again as we all head off to the common room to celebrate.

It felt as though we had already won the Quidditch Cup, the party went on all day and well into the night. Fred and George had disappeared for a couple of hours only to return with armfuls of bottles of butterbeer, pumpkin fizz, and several bags full of Honeydukes sweets.

"How did you do that?" squealed Angelina as George started throwing Peppermint Toads into the crowd.

"With a little help from Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs," Fred muttered in Harry's ear before winking at me. Only one person wasn't joining in the festivities. Hermione, incredibly, was sitting in a corner, attempting to read an enormous book entitled Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles. I noticed Harry brake away from the table where Fred and George had started juggling butterbeer bottles and walk over to her.

"Did you even come to the match?" he asked her.

"Of course I did, I went with Rory" I heard her answer in a strangely high-pitched voice, not looking up. "And I'm very glad we won, and I think you did really well, but I need to read this by Monday."

"Come on, Hermione, come and have some food," Harry said, looking over at Ron.

"I can't, Harry. I've still got four hundred and twenty-two pages to read!" Hermione said, now sounding slightly hysterical. "Anyway..." She glanced over at Ron too. "He doesn't want me to join in." There was no arguing with this, as Ron chose that moment to say loudly.

"If Scabbers hadn't just been eaten, he could have had some of those Fudge Flies. He used to really like them "Hermione burst into tears as she tucked the enormous book under her arm, and, still sobbing, ran toward the staircase to the girls' dormitories and out of sight.

"Can't you give her a break?" Harry asked Ron quietly.

"Yeah Ron. It's not her fault that a cat did what cats do" I add getting annoyed at how he's treating her.

"No," said Ron flatly. "If she just acted like she was sorry but she'll never admit she's wrong, Hermione. She's still acting like Scabbers has gone on vacation or something." The Gryffindor party ended only when Professor McGonagall turned up in her tartan dressing gown and hair net at one in the morning, to insist that they all go to bed. Harry and Ron climbed the stairs to their dormitory, still discussing the match as I said night to Ollie before heading up with Angelina.

"AAARRGGHH! NOOO!" Everyone woke suddenly at the sound of a scream before running down to the common room to see what was going on. The common room was lit with the glow of the dying fire, still littered with the debris from the party. It was deserted.

"Are you sure you weren't dreaming, Ron?" Harry said

"I'm telling you, I saw him!"

"What's all the noise?"

"Professor McGonagall told us to go to bed!" A few more of the girls had come down their staircase, pulling or, dressing gowns and yawning. Boys, too, were reappearing.

"Excellent, are we carrying on?" Fred said brightly.

"Everyone back upstairs!" Percy shouted hurrying into the common room and pinning his Head Boy badge to his pyjamas as he spoke.

"Perce Sirius Black!" Ron told him faintly. "In our dormitory! With a knife! Woke me up!" The common room went very still.

"Nonsense!" Percy said looking startled. "You had too much to eat, Ron, had a nightmare"

"I'm telling you"

"Now, really, enough's enough!" Professor McGonagall was back. She slammed the portrait behind her as she entered the common room and stared furiously around. "I am delighted that Gryffindor won the match, but this is getting ridiculous! Percy, I expected better of you!"

"I certainly didn't authorize this, Professor!" Percy replied, puffing himself up indignantly. "I was just telling them all to get back to bed! My brother Ron here had a nightmare"

"IT WASN'T A NIGHTMARE!" Ron yelled. "PROFESSOR, I WOKE UP, ANDSIRIUSBLACK WAS STANDING OVER ME, HOLDING A KNIFE!" Professor McGonagall stared at him.

"Don't be ridiculous, Weasley, how could he possibly have gotten through the portrait hole?"

"Ask him!" said Ron, pointing a shaking finger at the back of Sir Cadogan's picture. "Ask him if he saw" Glaring suspiciously at Ron, Professor McGonagall pushed the Portrait back open and went outside. The whole common room listened with bated breath.

"Sir Cadogan, did you just let a man enter Gryffindor Tower?"

"Certainly, good lady!" cried Sir Cadogan. There was a stunned silence, both inside and outside the common room.

"You, you did?" Professor McGonagall stuttered slightly. "But but the password!"

"He had 'em!" Sir Cadogan told her proudly. "Had the whole week's, my lady! Read 'em off a little piece of paper!" Professor McGonagall pulled herself back through the portrait hole to face the stunned crowd. She was white as chalk.

"Which person," she said, her voice shaking, "which abysmally foolish person wrote down this week's passwords and left them lying around?" There was utter silence, broken by the smallest of terrified squeaks. Neville Longbottom, trembling from head to fluffy slippered toes, raised his hand slowly into the air. No one in Gryffindor Tower slept that night. They knew that the castle was being searched again, and the whole House stayed awake in the common room, waiting to hear whether Black had been caught. Professor McGonagall came back at dawn, to tell them that he had again escaped.
