ALMA sits inside the gingerbread house in the woods alone, tears still falling silently. ERICH approaches the house, but hesitates before opening the door. He takes a deep breath and enters. ALMA stands up immediately in surprise.

ALMA:  Erich! (She takes an eager step as if she's about to run to him but stops herself) What are you doing here? (ERICH pauses as if the words won't come out) Erich?... I'm sorr-

ERICH:  I'm sorry.

ALMA:  What? (shocked)

ERICH:  I'm sorry... I left you. I was just shocked. I know you love me. I- I made a mistake.

ALMA smiles whole heartedly and runs into ERICH's arms.

ALMA:  I thought you would never come back to me...

ERICH:  Here I am...

ALMA:  This is all I need. You know that, right?

ERICH:  I know... I'm sorry.

ALMA:  You don't have to be sorry.

ERICH:  Yes, I do. You have no idea...

ALMA:  Hm?

ERICH:  Nothing, nothing. Um, remember when I asked you to stay with me?

ALMA:  Of course.
