Outside of the room was the pizza place and a wall full of drawings...

An alarm beeped as a man turned it off. He got up off the bed and turned on his cassette tape. He did some push ups before putting on some clothes. "Abs, you ready? Abby..." He walked into the girls room while putting on a tie. "Abs. Come on I know you're in there. Let's go."

He walked toward the tent as she pretended to be sleep. "Abby come on!" He shook the tent as she got up. "Okay, okay! You're being a jerk." Abby said as she crawled from under the tent. "You know u have somewhere I have to be. Come on let's go. Five minutes I need you dressed." He said as he walked back to the door only to be hit by a plush.

"Five minutes"

(Time skip cuz I'm lazy)

"Number 27?" A woman spoke. "Number 27? Follow me" He sat down in a man's office. "Steve Raglan" read his name tag. "Mm. What is your deal, Mike? What are you, some kind of... head case? You beat up a man in broad daylight. In front of his child."

He had got a flashback of the moment.

"That was a mistake. Uh. That was a misunderstanding. I-I thought." Mike tried to explain. "Just look at your employment record. Tire zone, sales associate, two months. Terminated. Insubordination. Media world, custodial staff, one week. It's like you're not even trying here, yet you sit before me asking for help.i am just trying to figure out who you are, Mr. Michael Sh..."

He looked up close at him before humming. "Coffee?" He said. "Sorry?" Mike asked. "Uh, would you, would you like some... some coffee? I made some coffee." He asked. "No." Mike responded. "I'm-Im gonna be brutally honest with you here, Mike. Given your track records, your opinions... are gonna be extremely limited."

"I'll take anything, okay? Any-any job you got." Mike said. "Look, I-I-I get that part. Um.. it's just... you know, it's not that easy." He said sitting back down. "Yeah. Thank you." Mike said getting up.

"I have a job for you."

Mike had stopped and looked back at him. "Come on, sit down. Sit, sit, sit, sit, sit." He said as Mike sat back down. "Okay, uh well, what is it?" Mike asked. "It's a security gig. Full disclosure: it's not great. Right. High turnover. That's what we call it in the Business. But you get to be your own boss sort of. And you only have to worry about one thing. Keeping people out. And-and, you know, and keep the place tidy."

"That's two things."

"You want the job or not?"

"How's the pay?"

"Not great. But the hours are worse."

...

"I can't do nights." Mike whispered.

"Excuse me?"

"I can't do nights" Mike said more louder.

'Steve' chuckled. "That's such a shame."

"Yeah... thank you." Mike said as he got back up.

"Wait!" Steve said as he got back up. "In case you have a change of heart." He handed him a card.
