Chapter 11

"Baby, wakey wakey." Austin cooed in my ear as he kissed my jaw and placing his hand on my shoulder and shaking me gently.

"Noooo, sleep." I groaned, throwing the duvet over my head.

"Nuh uh, no you don't, I made us breakfast in bed. French toast, bacon, sauages, the whole nine yards."

I suddenly sat up as my senses came to life and was hit by the godly smell of a cooked breakfast lingering in the room. "You made us breakfast?"

"Of course." He smiled down at me, before walking to the end of the bed and picking up two plates. "Figured we could start our annivarsry with breakfast and some TV in bed before anything else."

"Awww babe you're so sweet. Happy annivarsary, I love you!" I smiled, as he handed me a plate on a small tray and sitting down back on the bed next to me.

"And I love you, happpy annivarsary, can't believe I've put up with you for a whole year!" He chuckled, kissing my cheek.

"Hey we've been through this..." I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Just eat your food before it gets cold you dork." Austin grabbed the TV remote and switched on the small TV I had in my room and flicking through the channels to find something to watch.

"I'm not a dork." I mumbled with a pout as I picked up my shiny silver fork and pentrated the perfectly cooked beacon on the plate.

"You are a little bit of a dork, but it's okay, I love your dorkiness." He grinned, settling on a kids channel that was currently airing an orignal pokemon episode.

"Awww breakfast in bed and pokemon! You know me so well." I swooned.

"See, dork, you're twenty three and love Pokemon, I mean you even have a Pikachu and Vaperon plush...says it all really."

"Woah, hey, Pokemon is Pokemon, and Pokemon is like the best show ever, don't you go dissing the amazingness that is the orginal Pokemon series! Next to shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Biker Mice From Mars, Danger Mouse, Power Rangers, Naruto, One piece and Recess!" I spoke in a matter of fact way as I took a bite from the bacon, letting the sweet taste of the bacon invade my mouth. God I loved bacon, epesically when it was cooked to perfection, not too soft, but not too crispy, and Austin knew how to rustle up the perfect piece of beacon.

"Of course, but you totally missed out Ducktales, how could you go wrong with Ducktales?!"

"Oh my god yes! Oh damn I miss my childhood sometimes, kid's these days just don't know what they're missing! It's all this Dora, teletubbies and Tweenies rubbish which I swear is so mind numblingly rubbish it could actually make future generations dumber. And come on, they've remade things like Noddy, Postman Pat, all the classics and ruined them! How lame is that?"

"I love how you're getting so worked up and passionate over cartoon's...it's adorable." Austin smiled sweetly at me.

"Hey, the TV kids watch is like a stepping stone for them, it's a big part of their childhood and growing up, and to deny them of such awesome shows that teach them real life lessons and force all this weird, 'educational' things that I'm pretty sure the creators where stoned while coming up with the whole idea behind them, it's just not fair!"

"I couldn't agree more, now, eat."

It was nearly one in the afternoon by the time me and Austin had got up, showered and dressed. We would've been up a lot sooner, but we got...disracted, by other bedroom activities after breakfast. We then also got disracted in the shower, although, all the blame belongs to Austin for the shower lasting just over half an hour when it should've only lasted five-ten minutes tops, not that I was complaining of course.

"Austtt, sit down and close your eyes." I smiled brightly at him, I figured now would be a good time to give him the gifts I got him.

"Alan if you're going to pull a prank on me I swear to god..."

"Nooooo, just do it will you!"

"Alan you told me to sit down and close my eyes like two days ago and I ended up with whipped cream all over my face and raw egg in my hair...which took me forever to get out of my hair."

"Oh stop being such a whiney baby, you got me back by drawing a massive penis on my head, in my sleep, which I had no idea about until Scarlett spent a good hour laughing at me at work and I went to the bathroom. And of course, what had made it worse, was the fact that, where I showered, it had faded a little and of course smudged some of the ink so it looked like it was, ya know, into my damn eye!"

Austin howled out in a fit of laughter. "Oh that w-was funny...oh t-that was so, so f-funny! Y-You where so mad when y-you go home, coming i-in looking l-like a baby kitten w-who was denied their milk o-or something."

"It wasn't funny! What if someone had come to adopt an animal or something? Don't think having a massive penis drawn on my head would've been a good impression and Scarlett still brings it up."

"Ahhh, I'm sorry, I promise, no more penis' on your face...unless it's mine." He flashed me his typical cheeky smile. I grabbed a cushion off the sofa and threw it in his direction, missing him by an inch as he dodged. "You know, I'm glad you don't own a gun, your aim is awful!"

"Just shut the fuck up, sit down and close your eyes!" I demanded at him, pointing my finger to the couch.

"Alright, alright." Austin sighed and finally did as he was told. I quickly ran back up to my bedroom and pulled two wrapped presents out from underneath my bed before returning downstairs and placing them in his lap.

"Open the bigger one first." I smiled at him as he opened his eyes. Austin beamed at me and opened the bigger present to reveal Slipknot's first album, framed and signed with their very first set of merchendise.

"Oh my...baby I love it! Thank you! This is so awesome, it must have cost you a fortune and been so hard to get hold of!"

I shrugged my shoulders as if it was no big deal, to me it wasn't, I knew he'd love it. Yeah it was pricey, and I had to take some money from my guitar fund to pay for it, but to me, it was worth it, I didn't mind waiting a little longer for my guitar. "I made a few calls and sent out emails a few months back when I got the idea, was no biggy really, was easier then I thought it would be."

"It's amazing thank you so much!" The look of happiness and joy on his face was all the thanks I needed as he sat their admiring it. "Oh this is going to look so perfect on the wall in the-uh so what's in this one then?"

"In the what Austin?" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Hut?" But the word sounded like more of a question then a statement.

"You can put it wherever you want to babe, now, open the last one." I beamed brightly at him. He carefully laid the first gift down on the sofa before opening the wrapper on the second and last gift.

Inside was a scrap book I spent all night putting together the night before he got home. Austin's smile only grew wider as he flicked through the scrap book which contained various pictures of us, screen shots from skype and face times, photo copies of letters, recepits from meals and ice creams and it was finished off by the photo the girl took which she emailed me a couple days ago and I added in last night while he was sleeping. "I can't believe you did this...this is perfect...I love you so much!"

Austin placed the scrapbook down, and reached to my face to collide his lips with mine. "I love you too." I giggled. "I'm glad you like them."

"I love them baby, seriously, thank you! But uh, why does it say 'Cashby's first year' on the front?"

"Oh that's our ship name apprently, blame Caroline, you know the blonde bimbo girl who still drools over you. She said it's our surnames, Carlile and Ashby mixed together...Cashby...I don't know, I think it's cute."

"Cashby huh? No, I like it, got a good ring to it." He chuckled. "Anyway, here's your gift, this isn't your only gift, but the others require perfect timing so it'll have to wait till later."

"Okay." I eyed him suspiously as he handed me a small gift from his short's pocket. "May I ask for a hint?"

"You can ask, sure, but I'm not going to give you one. Just open your present will you."

"Alright, calm down." I laughed, opening the wrapper to reveal a small box. I opened up the box and inside was a chain with two dog tags hanging from it. One had Austin's names and Date of birth on it, and the other had mine, and on the back his read 'I love you' and the back of mine read 'forever and always'. I felt my eyes well up a little, it was so sweet and romantic, but so simple, and the dog tags where just like the one's he and his squad wore around their necks. I just loved how he didn't even have to try, just the smallest things he did where the most perfect, sweet and heartfelt things. "It's...perfect Austin, thank you!"

I threw my arms around him and pressed my lips against his. "Here I'll put it on for you." He smiled, taking the neckless from the box and slipping it around my neck, fixing the clasp so it stayed there. "Now you have something to remind you of me, and how much I love you when I'm gone...as well as Sophie."

"I love you so much."

"I love you too baby, now come on, there's a few things I have planned, so let's go." He smiled, standing up and taking my hand before leading me out the front door.

The afternoon and early evening was perfect, we spent it just enjoying being together, enjoying the sweet sounds and smells of summer blowing gently in the light breeze that filled the hot, summer air. We spent a little time in the hut, going through the scrapbook page by page and laughing about the memories that went with each page. We of course, took one of our famous strolls with ice cream from our favorite diner, that was our thing, if we had to say we had a 'thing' we did as a couple, that was it. Afterwards he took me to the next town along to a simple, but elegant chinese resturant.

It was nearly nine in the evening and the sun was beginning to set as he walked us to the end of the pier, the place he asked me out on our first date.

"This is where it all started." I smiled. "This place, aside where we shared our first kiss, and the hut, has to be my most favorite place now."

"Mmmm mine too." Austin sighed happily and kissed the top of my head. "I think...yeah, now is the time for your final gifts, though they're kind of gifts for me too."

"What do you mean?" I asked him curiously. He pulled a retangle shaped black box and handed it to me. I looked up at him with suspision in my eyes before opening the box to reveal a silver house key inside, with a keyring attached that had a picture of us inside a plastic cover. "Austin?"

"Well, while you've been hard at work this week, I may have been house hunting. Well, actually I was house hunting a while ago, but I've been signing all the papers and whatnot and yesterday while you where at work, I was handed the keys to this beautiful little house, just five minutes from here. It's three bedrooms, a living room with an open planned dining room, a decent sized kitchen, and a decent sized garden. When I saw it, I just knew, in my heart that the house was thee house...the house I wanted to start my life with you in. But I can't start my life with you in that house unless you're living there with me, so, Alan Ashby, will you move in with me? I know we still got two years to get through until I can live there full time with you, but Alan, I-I can't wait that long, so please, make my house a home with me, together."

Tears formed in my eyes as my heart swelled. "Of course I'll move in with you!" I flung my arms around him and nuzzled my face against his chest.

"I'm so glad you said that." Austin pressed a kiss on my cheek before pulling away. "Because there's one more thing...now, I know we've only been together a year kitten, but I know how much I love you. I know that you're the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with, because, when I'm not with you, I feel so...empty, like there's this huge part of me missing. And, when I'm with you, I feel complete again, a-and I've never felt like that before. I could stand here and give you a whole speech about how much I love you, but it would be pointless, because, no words I could say could ever do my love for you even the smallest amount of justice. So I'll cut to the chase and beg you'll agree because I've kind of all ready booked and planned the entire thing..." Austin pulled out another box and my jaw dropped to the floor as he positioned himself down on one knee and opened the box to show a simple silver ring with two small love hearts tangled together engraved on the band. "Alan, I can't face going away again without making you mine forever, so please, please will you do me the honour and marry me in three weeks?"

That was it for me, those tears that had built in my eyes where now flowing down my cheeks, how did I ever get this lucky? It was so hard to comprehend everything that had happened, how perfect he was, how thoughtful he was, how sweet, kind, romantic, funny, caring and compassionate he was. Sure maybe it was quick, but I didn't care, I knew how much I loved him, and he loved me, so the answer was easy for me. "Yes...Yes I'll marry you!"

Austin beamed the brightest smile I'd seen since we met, as he slid the ring onto my engagement finger. "I love you so much Alan."

"I love you too." I sniffed, wiping my eyes before gently placing my hands either side of his face and kissing him with all the love and passion I could. We stayed there for a while before we finally pulled away and Austin got back up on his feet. "Hang on, you said three weeks?"

"Yup, that's when we're getting married, everything is booked and paid for, your parent's, took some convincing but have been a huge help while I've been away to help organise it and make it perfect, I just had to put in the finishing touches. All you need to do is get your tux fitted, oh and sign the papers for the house so it's offically ours, not just mine."

"I can't believe you've done this, this is...how do you do it? M-Make everything so...unreal? Like it's something straight from a romantic, cheesey love story? You know the one's that make you want what they have, but you know it'll never happen because it's too unrealistic? H-How do you make it a reality Aust? How is it possible you can make me this happy and be this perfect?"

"It's easy, I love you Alan, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He smiled lovingly at me, as he gently brushed away a stray tear from my cheek. "I don't want to go away again without making you mine forever, I don't want to wait two more years to start my life with you. I-I don't want to live with regrets, so, with all the love in my heart, I did what I had to, to start my life with you, because there's nothing I want more then to have a home with you, and call you my husband."

"There's nothing I want more either." I beamed, before tip toeing up to kiss him. I truly was the luckiest guy in the world.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

That day...I can't even put it into words. Just when I thought you couldn't suprise me more, or make me love you more, you go ahead and proved me wrong every time. Every moment spent with you, you made it so unique, so special, so heartwarming and romantic. A part of me always wondered if I was in a coma somewhere and everything was just a dream, but I knew it wasn't. I know my love for you is as real as the sun rises and sun sets we enjoyed together. As real as the joy on a child's face when they're doing what they love the most, or when they've seen santa's given them the gift they've hounded their parents for months over. Everything with you, about you, was as real as it could get, but it just felt so unreal at the same time. I never thought, in a million years I'd end up as happy as I was with you. Never did I think that I would end up to be lucky enough to have a love like ours to hold onto forever. But you proved my thoughts wrong and you made those thoughts of a perfect life, a perfect partner and a perfect relationship that everyone dreams of, a reality for me, and I couldn't be more thankful for the day you came into my life.

I remember our wedding day...

A/N: Sorry this chap is kinda longer then usual, tbh they're all getting longer haha but it's kind of needed otherwise I can't fit everything in, and then I'd end up doing short pointless chapters to make up for it just to get everything in, and I don't want to do that, so yeah, sorry if it is a little long :)

And yes, if you've noticed it, there is pokemon mentioned in every fic I write and other anime's because I'm twenty freaking four and obessed with it all still, so it's gotta be done. Hell you can hop on my instagram and see how much I love Pokemon and anime! POKEMON AND ANIME FOR LIFE! Okay, I'm done now hahaha I'm going to go watch Bleach :D
