Chapter 10-Nightmare in a nightmare

I closed the door softly. If I could just get in quietly and up the stairs without him noticing, I could find an easier way out. I turned around and nearly jumped out of my skin. I felt my heart miss more than one beat when I saw that my father was standing there. Stone sober, watching me. Right now, any normal parents would ask where I'd been, tell me that I should let them know if I was going to be late again and leave it at that, but my dad isn't normal.

"Where have you been? He asked, too innocently for my liking. I had to think quickly,

"I walked the long way home" was my feeble excuse, although it sounded more like a question than an answer. I was more than in for it now...

"Well, don't walk the long way again!" he yelled. He started walking towards me,

"You stupid little girl" he growled, I backed into the corner, but nowhere is safe. He threw a forceful slap across my cheek and I stifled a scream, knowing that would only make him madder

"Now get upstairs and changed, Rueben's coming round at 7:30, he's giving me £100, so make it worth it" he snapped, grabbing my already black and blue arms too tightly and shoving me towards the stairs. I dived for them, getting away from the monster I called my father as fast as I could, racing up the stairs and into my room. I closed the door and leant against it, my face was stinging a lot, but it was nothing compared to the dread at the bottom of my stomach. 2 hours with Rueben!? He was only the worst man I'd ever met; heartless, stone-hearted and psychopathic, in my mind anyway. I now had 45 minutes to make myself look like a tart so my dad could get some more booze money. I gently rubbed the sore side of my face, then got to work.

40 minutes later I looked like a completely different person; no bruises on show, no casual outfit. The doorbell rang, I froze, my heart stopped. I heard my dad open the door, heard them discussing something and there was an excited tone in my dad's voice as the footsteps came up the stairs and onto the landing. The door opened and there he was at the door, my worst nightmare. He closed the door, pinned me to the wall and smashed his lips forcefully onto mine, kissing me hard and fast,

"3 hours of bliss baby" he whispered in my ear...

wahey, I'm on a roll, you barely hear from me for weeks, then suddenly, bam! 2 in one weekend :)
