Chapter 2

Mangle's Pov:

Finally, it was nighttime. A few minutes before the nightguard's shift, to be exact. This nightguard was a new one, his name was Jeremy.  At least that's what his nametag said.

It was fun to scare the new nightguards, they always screamed the loudest.

So, the clock chimed 12:00am and the fun began. Mangle stayed where she was and let the others do their parts for a bit. Once the clock said 3:00am, she moved towards the main hallway.

Foxy was already there and Mangle could see the rapid flashes of Jeremy's torch as he tried to chase him off.

Mangle watched Foxy in the darkness with a smile. Even with all of his rips and tears, Foxy was still a really handsome animatronic. She wondered if Foxy even liked her or did he hate her like the other old animatronics?

There was this rivalry between the new and old animatronics.

The old ones were jealous of the new ones and the new ones loved it. They would always rub it in the old animatronics' faces that they were better.

It sometimes caused conflicts during the night. For example, last night, Old Bonnie lay claim to the air vents but Balloon Boy wouldn't have it. They ended up fighting in front of the camera! Golden Freddy was outraged and sent them both to Marionette. Luckily, the Puppet was in a good mood and they didn't get punished.

When Foxy turned away from the hallway, he saw Mangle. "Oh, Hey Mangle.. Did you get partially fixed? You look prettier now that you aren't so tangled up." He smiled softly.

If Mangle weren't plastic, she'd have been blushing furiously, "Yeah. A teenager fixed up my wires earlier. Weird right?"

"That's nice of him." Foxy commented and was about to say something when Toy Chica appeared.

"Foxy. Move out the way." The shiny yellow chicken glared at Foxy before taking her placed in the hall, holding her cupcake up.

Mangle glanced at Foxy, "When Chica leaves, wanna go together? That'll give the nightguard a fright!"

Foxy nodded, "Sure, but remember that it's only the first night. Don't scare him too much." He grinned, his sharp teeth glinting in the faint light the torch made as Jeremy tried to warn Toy Chica off.

Once Toy Chica left, Mangle got ready to crawl up the wall but Toy Bonnie appeared and stopped her. He quickly whispered, "Don't get too friendly with Foxy, Okay? He's a creep. Stick with us next time."

Mangle shrugged, not bothered to argue and began crawling along the wall.

She got into place and glanced back at Foxy. He stood with his jaws open and his arms outstretched. She looked back into the office and waited until Jeremy turned on the torch.

When he did, Mangle laughed silently when she saw him jump back in his seat and let out a startled yell, "What is that?!" He shouted, gaze fixed on her. Then she heard him mutter, "Why in the world did I sign up for this damned job?"

After a few flashes of his light, Mangle retreated along with Foxy. They stood in the shadows so they weren't seen, "That was kinda funny, I must admit." Foxy grinned slyly.

Mangle nodded, "Yup. I can't wait for night 2."

Eventually, the clock struck 6:00am and everyone returned to their spots. Mangle waved goodbye to Foxy but quickly remembered something and called Foxy back, "Wait there."

She quickly crawled into Party room 2 and picked up a colouring book that was left behind by one of the children the other day. She brought it back to Foxy and handed it to him, "Here. To keep you occupied in that boring old room." She flashed a smile before hurrying to her place, as did Foxy.

Toy Freddy's Pov:

As Toy Freddy got into his place on the stage, he glanced briefly at Toy Bonnie, "Did you warn Mangle?"

Toy Bonnie nodded, "Yeah, I told her not to get too close to Foxy but I don't think she's gonna listen." His voice was clear and smooth, not rough and glitchy like the Old versions.

Toy Freddy frowned, "We can't have them together. It'll just cause problems." Toy Freddy despised the Old animatronics. They made a mess everywhere they went.

The conversation was cut short as workers began to arrive. Toy Freddy heard the loud voice of the new nightguard, Jeremy, complaining about how the animatronics tried to kill him. The Manager just reassured him everything was alright and that night 2 would be no worse. Yeah, right. Toy Freddy forced the evil grin down that had been rising up.

Foxy's Pov:

Another day started and Foxy sat back against the wall, holding Mangle's present to him. A colouring book. He studied the cover of the book. It said Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Colouring Book! In big red letters. The cover had all of the New animatronics on it. Toy Freddy, Toy Chica, Toy Bonnie in the middle on a stage with wide grins on their faces. Balloon Boy stood on one side, holding rainbow coloured ballons in his hand. There was the Puppet's box with the lid slightly open and the eyes of The Puppet peeked cheekily from it. Then there was Mangle. She looked all fixed up, she was standing beside Toy Chica with a happy smile on her face.

Foxy felt a pang of sadness for Mangle as he turned the page and looked inside the book. He saw an orange crayon sat inside the book and he carefully took it out with his paw. He examined the crayon and noticed it was the same shade as his fur. He doubted there would be a page with him on it. After all, no one really knew of him anymore. Not since the new resturant opened.

"Whatchya got there?" Old Freddy mumbled to Foxy, his blue eyes fixed on the colouring book in his paw.

Foxy glanced up at Old Feeddy and whispered, "A colouring book."

Old Freddy shrugged, "What do you expect to do with it?"

"Colour in it...?" Foxy traced his hook over the first page, a drawing of Toy Freddy.

Old Freddy chuckled deeply and his voice box made a small buzzing sound as he did so, "I wouldn't get too close to Mangle. She's probably trying to manipulate you into doing something wrong."

Foxy felt a small growl rise in his throat but it came out as more of a moan. Darn voice box. "Mangle would never do that. Where's your proof?"

Old Freddy turned to stare Foxy in the eyes, "That pile of wires is one of them!"

"So?" Foxy glared at Old Freddy and when he didn't answer, he turned back to the colouring book and started flipping through the pages.

____________

From what Foxy could tell from the tiny dirty window inside the Parts/Service room, it was close to closing time. He had completed the colouring book. He had found a couple of pictures of Mangle, she looked so happy when she was fixed. Her bright smile... Her shiny, new suit... Everything.

Now she was a mess of an endoskeleton.

Rage started building up inside Foxy as the thoughts filled his head again but he quickly controlled it and sat down again, the colouring book closed and beside him.

Old Bonnie turned his faceless head in Foxy's direction. His voice box made a noise but Foxy couldn't pick it up. "Pardon?" He tried to be polite, he knew Old Bonnie's temper was always quite short.

Old Chica opened her violet eyes and said, "I think he was a-aaasking if you were going to take paaarrt tonight-t."

Foxy shrugged, "Maybe." Was all he said and leaned against the wall. He pulled his ripped up knees up to his chest and rested his head on them.

Old Freddy blinked open one blue eye and muttered, "Keep it down, will you? I'm trying to rest." He closed the eye and became still again, switching off.

"I guess F-F-Freeeddy isn't joining us tonight..." Old Chica whispered, her voice box glitching again.

"I suppose not." Foxy mumbled in reply and closed his yellow eyes. Maybe he shouldn't join the others this night. Then again, his endoskeleton might grow stiff from being so still for so long.

Foxy made up his mind and stood up, "I'll be out with the other's if you need me." He told Old Chica and Old Bonnie before walking out.
