Fanny stood in the crowd, glaring at (Y/N) with pure jealousy. Anger, even. How come Cuphead decided to ask her? (Y/N), out of all people? Why not her? Why not her?
She didn't understand - what was there to like about that teenage dirtbag? She didn't look pretty, she wasn't exceedingly intelligent either. For Peter's sake, he used to bully her!
(A/N - comment if you get that joke)
And now, he's all flustered, head over heels for the girl. Fanny, now out of his life. She was just in the shadows of (Y/N), so much that she was completely forgotten by Cuphead.
Did he not see this better looking girl? Dropping hints, flirting, seducing? Was it not enough? (Y/N) and Cuphead just didn't fit. She'd thought after all the rumors and fake news she had spread about that bitch, that Cuphead would have left her by now?
Left (Y/N) for the one he was supposed to be with; Fanny? No, when she thought about it, the rumors she claimed were not, well, spread by others. They were too busy, hyped up with this 'injured and nearly dead (Y/N)' and the 'depressed Cuphead', it just turned her rumors to dust!
What was so interesting? She wasn't there to see it, surely it wasn't that bad. She's alive, seemingly unfazed by what she had been put through.
Fanny stared at (Y/N) with rage - no way was she hanging on the cliff of death if she was still there, standing there. Flaunting to everyone about how Cuphead had asked her out to prom.
It was not right. They were not meant for each other.
Cuphead and Fanny were meant for each other. She was superior comparing to (Y/N); the beauty, the personality, the everything!
(Y/N) was just some dumb (H/C) haired whore that needed to learn her place.
What did (Y/N) have that Fanny didn't? Fanny wasn't a loser, wasn't a bitchy whore, wasn't a slut, looked much better, and had way more popularity.
Cuphead didn't want to ruin his ego.
(Y/N) clearly disliked the massive attention and drama.
They both disliked the fake gossip that had already been spread. Not by Fanny.
Now, what could Fanny to to steal Cuphead away from (Y/N)? To give Cuphead some common sense, to leave that loser for someone better.
Someone like Fanny. Someone beautiful. Someone hot. Someone useful. Someone who had the entire school wrapped around her little finger.
And that's when it clicked - that's when realization finally struck her.
Rumors. Attention. Drama. Humiliation.
The plan was too good to be true - she would just have to wait for the big day.
March 10th.

【(Y/N)'s POV】
I scrolled through the drama articles of the internet, growing attached to everything. The internet is such an amazing platform - you could meet new friends, find all sorts of entertainment, educate yourself, be inspired and so much more. The best of all though was that no one knew who you were.
I may be an utterly useless and bullied loser at school, but on the internet; I could be anyone I want. I could be myself, do what I love without being tormented. Besides the haters, of course, I could just block them.
With a simple 'click!' or 'tap' they would disappear from my life forever. If only there was a 'block' option in this world, I would have liked it for company before. Now though, I didn't need it.
It seemed as Cuphead had left his old habits for some better ones - he's my friend now.
He wouldn't do that to me anymore.
For once in my life, my worries had vanished - disappeared into thin air. Excluding the lack of care from my parents, the school was better now.
I didn't need a 'block' button anymore.
Golden Sierra High had started warming up to my presence, no longer being tormented and less blather. Less blether about fake, silly and annoying rumours. Rumours; rumours like 'heard that she smokes' or 'she works at a strip club' or something.
Ridiculous things were spread about me, so unrealistic yet so believed.
Were the students here that gullible?
A notification flashed on the screen of her phone, a small digital banner dropping down and interrupting her internet surfing.
It was a text message from someone - an unknown contact. Despite her lack of knowledge on whoever sent the sketchy and creepy 'stay away from him or else' text message.
Him? Who the fuck was 'him', her boyfriend?
As far as I'm aware, I'm not in a relationship with anyone so I couldn't possibly be accused of cheating.
I'm also assuming that whoever sent this text message is a girl since whoever sent this text message seems like a yandere.
Not too long ago I had thought yanderes were creepy, but here I sat. Chatting with a possible yandere.
I thought about what were the possible situations I had supposedly gotten myself into. I don't think I could be cheating. I hadn't told anyone my number. And, who would text me that unless they were jealous?
If they were, what was there to be jealous of? Was it a cliché one-sided love type of situation? With all these assumptions, I would be lead to believe that there is a man involved in this. Specifically a love interest.
Love is such a complicated thing. Glad it's not something I'll be experiencing soon.
Though, who could it be? Was I really one of those 'innocent depressed clean-minded cinnamon rolls that are suicidal' which was a common stereotype on the internet?
As far as I'm concerned, I didn't think so. I had to prove to myself that I'm not, and I'll do this by figuring out the sender and the love interest.
...
I didn't even need to send her a reply. It was Cuphead, isn't it? And Fanny was the sender. The only male I've been accompanying was Cuphead, and I don't think it was a 'wrong number' situation, as the chances of dialling my exact phone combination are extremely low.
No one knows my phone number anyways.
Plus, Fanny was rumoured to be the love interest to Cuphead, but it seems it is the one-sided love situation.
I wonder why it took so long though - it made me feel so intelligent and smart.
I heard yet another notification sound from my phone. Glancing down at the screen, it was another text message. It said, 'hey'.
A simple hey. I checked the messages app, and it wasn't the same unknown contact. The second mysterious number had texted me yet again. It wrote 'its me cuphead lol i got ur phone number'.
The grammar had annoyed me ever so slightly, but I changed the contact name to 'Cup'.
I replied this time.
Cup - hey
Its me cuphead lol i got ur phone number
Me - hello.
How did you get my phone number ;-;
Cup - oh i heard some girls saying they got your number so i decided to test it out
[Cup changed your contact name to (Y/N)]
[you changed Cup to Creep]
Me - you could have just asked you know :I
Creep - it was more fun this way
And did you just nickname me creep
Me - yea. Do you know who's 82736491 by the way? They texted me.
I decided to confirm my assumptions.
Creep - thats fanny
What did she say
Me - she said 'stay away from him' or something. Creepy.
Creep - that's funny
No pun intended
Me - whatever. By the way, prom is next week. Can't believe you asked me.
Creep - i thought i told you i was maniplated into doing so
*manipulated
By oswald

Me - don't worry I don't get offended easily. What are you going to wear anyways, prom is on Monday. It's Friday.
Creep - yeah i know
I gtg btw
Bye
Me - bai :)
I smiled, putting my phone down and prepared to do my homework.
Though of course, things don't always go as planned.
Two notifications were heard from my phone. I thought it was Cuphead, though it most certainly was not.
I read the messages over and over again, eyes slowly enlarging, mouth falling to the ground.
'I told you to stay away from him.'
'You're not allowed to text him either, I saw you.'
