11 Years Later

Mikey knocked on the door of Frank's flat, chewing on his lower lip and tugging on his shirt. The door was answered by the shorter boy, who was wearing ripped black jeans and a faded Misfits shirt. Frank raised his eyebrows slightly. "Uh, hey Mikey.." He said in a confused voice. 

"Frank.." Mikey sighed. "Frank listen. I need you to just listen and not interrupt, please." 

"Uh.. Okay?" Frank pushed the door open wider letting Mikey in. Mikey walked in then spun around, looking at Frank. 

"Listen, I know you remember Gerard." He started, Frank's expression turning cold. "I know you loved him, but you never even turned up to the funeral. You won't talk about him, you refuse to acknowledge that he existed! I just need t- Hey! Come back!" He called after Frank, who had started walking away. "You said you'd listen!" He yelled, following.

"Stay there." Frank snapped, and Mikey was so shocked that he did so, noding slightly. Frank came back a few moments later with a box and threw it down on the coffee table, where it landed with a thump. Mikey raised an eyebrow, and took the lid off, his mouth dropping.

Inside the box was a pillow, a sketchbook, some comics, a t-shirt and a bunch of pencils. Frank didn't say anything, looking down at the floor. "You kept these.." Mikey asked in a quiet voice. Frank nodded in reply and Mikey put the lid back on. "Well, I, uh.." Mikey bit his lip. "I also came here to say that I think you should talk to someone.. keeping it inside doesn't really help.. But, I, uh.. I guess I'll just go.." Mikey took a step back, jumping when Frank shoved the box roughly towards him.

"Take it with you." He said in a low voice.

"Frank-"

"Take it or I'll burn it!" Mikey jumped again when Frank yelled, something he rarely did, and took the box, backing quickly out the door. Frank slammed the door as soon as Mikey was out, then ran straight to his room, slamming that door too.
