     It was late at night in Konohagakure, my home town. I was reclining on the balcony of my crummy apartment.

   "Well, I guess I should head out now" I mumble to my self " see ya, crappy old life".

 I sat up picking up my heavy backpack, it had all of my things in it, I was leaving Konoha. 

(flashback y/n pov)

  It was the 3rd Great Ninja War,  I was 3 or 4 years old. My parents turned to me and said,

"Y/n, we are leaving for a quick trip you stay here until we return"

"huh" I asked.

With that they were gone, I was abandoned.

(real life y/n pov)

I jump down into the schoolyard that was next to my apartment.

"Woah, they upgraded this place since the last time I was here" I whispered, remembering my old academy training. 

I make my way to the large gates at the opening of the Leaf Village. 

"hmph. Summoning jutsu!" I exclaim summoning a large bird. " Hey there" I said the large brown hawk.

I stepped up onto her wings and turned my head to see the Leaf's quiet streets one more time. Before I had a chance to think about my decision the bird took off. She flew over the thick gates and wall that had held me back my whole life. I let out a sigh of relief. The bird flew gracefully to a clearing in the trees. The large hawk landed on the soft grass. I hop off feeling the soft earth against my feet. 

"Thanks, Skye" I said to the beautiful bird in a singsong voice.

She flew into the navy blue sky and with a puff of smoke she was gone. I throw my backpack to the side, and lean against a tree.  

I open my backpack pulling out a blue/green pouch and book. I open the pouch pouring out the pencils and pastels inside. I open the book and start to sketch.

"Well then,"I say "I really am free"
