Dragon aging is different in this series- ages up to 8 are dragonet, 9 to 12 is teenager, 12 to 20 is young adult, 20+ is adult. This excuses any questions about aging.

Stratus grew up knowing one thing- to protect those around him, no matter what. That's how he was disfigured, protecting his friends all those years ago. Now, he is stationed with his group in the Claws of the Clouds mountains, hunkered down with the rebels, sheltering themselves from the cold- but more importantly, Aconi.
A turn of priorities throws the friends into an unpleasant situation, facing the hard truth of their former friend's power- and influence on the ones Stratus thought he could trust.
Masquerade masks, an open talon offering peace, an old tower, and a museum in a place that once was. A recipe for salvation, for most in this trying time.
