Author's Note: William Hillphire, a character you will meet in chapter 13, actually belongs to a friend of mine. I wrote his character into this book in collaboration with him. His characterization is almost entirely his own. Check out "Between the Anvil and the Shield" by DarthKirby for a short on Hillphire's adventures while the rest of the cast are making their way to Mistral.

Seira Himura has been mysteriously losing chunks of her memory of the past five years. Trying to regain them back she comes home to her native land, Japan, but things don't go as planned. Coming back to the place of her origin, Seira has been plunged back into a life filled with Demons and Spirits. As she strives to become an Exorcist mysterious occurrences happen. Her life, unbeknownst to her, is in danger and Seira can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. With every step she takes in order to remember who she was more warnings are issued. Not to mention that a mysterious organization, interested in Seira, has revealed themselves as an enemy of Exorcist. Pursuing any leads that may shed some light into this mystery, Seira comes closer to uncovering a hidden truth kept secret for hundreds of years. With the help of some old and new friends, will Seira ever regain her precious memories? Will she unlock the secrets of her origin and stop a predetermined prophecy from happening or will blue flames burn away her existence?Note: The original characters from Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist) are the works of Kazue Kato. Kato's characters will make multiple appearances but will not be the main focus. This is purely fanfiction.P.S/Author's Note: The aim of this story is for me to experience the makings of a real novel. This means that at the very end of "Flames that Burn my Existence" there should be a word count of 60,000 - 65,000. A bit ambitious, yes, but it's a task I'm currently willing to uphold.
