Akutagawa's unrequited love causes him all suffering including hanahaki disease, Dazai who knows the suffering experienced by his protégé makes him feel great guilt, he tries his best to return Akutagawa to the way he used to be and in addition he has to fight with his former self which is Dazai osamu era port mafia.
