Dragon and Elves have been at war for centuries. The strongest of the dragon clans is the Indhu. All clans look to them for strength and guidance. Arverth has taken his place as the new leader. It is his wish to avenge the fallen of his people, including his own father. But then he meets a young woman who shares his untapped desire for peace between the two people.

Aya is forced to hide her true identity when she walks amongst her people. The king of the Midpid elves has ordered the death of her bloodline, the Chaera. She does not understand why, but her grandfather will not share this information with her. However, Aya knows that the Elven throne is rightfully hers and that, one day, she will take her place as queen. She wishes for her first royal act to be the creation of peace between the Elves and the Dragons.

Neither Aya nor Arverth expects to learn the truth behind Aya's true identity. The knowledge changes everything for them both.

Love Over Hate is a stand-alone in the fantasy romance series, Children of Magic. This story has Romeo & Juliet vibes, but with High Elves, Dragon-folk, and a happier ending.
