This country was once America's Cold War rival and collapsed in 1991 due to an August coup and subsequent economic collapse. However, in this alternative timeline, the August coup was successful, and this superpower country still exists until the 21st century. This country is, in fact, the Soviet Union.What actions might the Soviet Union take in this new global context? How might the natives of the new world respond to the emergence of this new and possibly global power? What strategies might the Soviet Union pursue in light of the knowledge that magic and fantasy exist in this New World?
