In a world of great big beasts and animals that can walk and talk like us, humans have fled underground and lived peacefully, undisturbed. There lives a communion of cats that lived as lumberjacks, living under one leader. And there was one cat that stood above the rest. Weird and a bit unusual, different than the rest. Always looking confused, as if trying to remembering something he forgot.

Then one day, when a group of humans and two Mutes had come around, a revelation had set upon the cat.

This is the story of Chess and how he finds his way back home.
