Don't Look for Me

"Irene Constance Blanche!!!!", a loud shout woke me up from my dream. I looked around me and noticed I'm at a garden with a group of men and women. Mind me, they're looking at me with disgust in their eyes.

I turned to face the man who had yelled at me. He has brown hair and is rather tall. I looked at the lady behind his back, crying while wiping her dress. Oh wait---?

"Oh", the word that came out from my mouth. The man folded his arm looking at me, his eyebrows meeting each other.

" Is that it? Care to explain what happened here?", he said in a cold and calm tone.

Did he call me Irene? That Irene? Hold on, if my memory serves me right. This is the start of the novel, wherein there's a banquet held in the imperial palace. So that means--

" Ughh, your majesty?", said the lady hiding on his back. " It's not her fault, it's me who bumped into her.", she added. The man didn't listen to her and looked at me waiting for me to speak.


"You heard her.", I calmly said and tried to look around to see if I remember the maid Irene was closed to. She has green hair and always tie it in a bun. Luckily, I found her. I put my hand on my back and slowly called her.


"Your Majesty, I apologize for my rudeness but Lady Irene needs to return to the Blanche residence because the Duke had called for her.", her maid said and bow to the man.


" I'm afraid I need to leave the party early, your majesty.", I said and bow. Then without waiting for his answer, we walked away.


As the silhouette of the two reached their carriage, the man whispered to the knight beside him.

"I want you to check what happened here, also send a letter to the duke that we are to invite her daughter tomorrow.", he said and left the venue without looking at anyone.
