Perhaps these things intrigued you because they were everything you were not, yet you found comfort in them. The trip to the slaughterhouse was an effort made by your father. You were selective about who you surrounded yourself with, and maybe this was an excuse to meet someone new.

Once they arrived in this new world, they have only one goal in mind, that is defeating both Michael and Feldway, to prevent the resuraction of Veldanava, and the destruction of the world.
