SURVIVAL

The story of SURVIVAL begins with an upper middle class family at a riverbank in the interior forest of British Columbia, Canada several weeks after electrical grids everywhere have crashed with no solution in sight. A harsh winter is just ending and the Daniel family, terrified by the building chaos and violence around them, makes a critical decision to escape their community and try to walk over the Cascade mountain range to the Pacific Ocean with the sole intention of trying to find their closest relatives. David Daniel, his wife Ruth, their one-year-old baby, their seventeen-year-old daughter Sis and their nineteen-year-old son Ky set off on an intense expedition of survival against the natural elements, tortuous geography and the darkest forces of human behaviour that constantly threaten their lives.
