The Decameron 2.0
Modeled after Giovanni Boccaccio's classic from the 14th Century, this collection similarly brought 100+ short stories to Wattpad readers. The original's premise was simple: ten individuals entertained themselves over a span of ten days by telling a different tale while hiding out from the plague outside of Florence. Each day had a theme, leading to an end product that was both cohesive, yet unique. This Wattpad collection aimed to give readers a similar experience. The Decameron 2.0 originally appeared on Wattpad in 2016, but was moved to draft form when I joined the Futures Program. Now that the FP is gone, this collection can be reposted. Participation was by invitation only with each "day" having a Group Leader, otherwise known as the King or Queen for the day. They had the great responsibility to not only pick the other nine authors in their team, but also the theme that they wrote around. Awards were given to the best story within each theme and the overall best story from all the shorts, each chosen by Guest Judges. Readers also had a chance to vote for their favorite to get a special Readers' Award. Stories are between 1,500 and 3,000 words each. They are the sole properties of their respective authors.

The First Generation. (Zombie Novel.)
This is the story of Analise Olivia M. Bennett. A small town girl from Merchant Valley who is preparing to be a cure for the Black Plague. A "Cured" is a polished creature from the science labs before the zombie outbreak gets you, too. But then she meets an unlikely companion. And she begins to question the City's decisions and the life they had planned for her as her new life begins in the Mansion as one of Prince Micah's brides. She has been turned into a science experiment to keep her safe from a deadly illness that has taken over most of North America. And feeling anything for anyone is treason. People live their lives and then they go. And she wants to keep the cycle of life for as long as she possibly can without becoming someone she isn't. I have been working on this story since I was twelve. I have the original story still written and saved in my room. I wanted to sound better at writing. More mature in writing as I went along. I had to wait until I was older to begin my writing career and have a better understanding of the world around me and everything it holds for us now. There is so so so much to live for. I hope through my writing you feel comfort and peace. Whatever you are going through and fighting against in your lives currently. I hope you can relate to my characters and find joy in the things they do for others who meet them. Their friendships and romantic relationships in the story I'm telling in my own words and writing I've worked on throughout my life's work and dreams I want to accomplish someday on Wattpad stories for free. Not a published author. Just writing for pure enjoyment and creativity sparks only. Maybe one day I can be published. But for now I'm just enjoying my time on this cool writing app I discovered. :) Thanks guys for taking this time to read my words. I hope to be published at least once in my lifetime. Ever since the formation of the Isle, King Adam and the Fairy Godmother had been insisting that Morgana was still a villain, and therefore belonged on the Isle, and once Avalon was born, she agreed-so long as her daughter could stay in Camelot. When Arthur was killed barely a year later, Merlin and Gwen partnered up to raise their daughters and run a kingdom, until the girls would be old enough to do so themselves. Of course Auradon never trusted the one kingdom that refused to unite, and insisted that the girls be sent to Auradon prep, and so they went-reluctant as could be. Everything was fine, mostly-the other princesses looked down on Nimue's love of swordfighting, and Avalon was never seen as anything but a villain kid, but they still had each other. They could tolerate it all, biding their time. But at sixteen years of age, everything they'd ever planned gets thrown for a loop when it's declared that four children from the Isle would be moving to Auradon
