Prisoner of my mind

The mind is a master of chicanery and deception. It is that cornucopia of thoughts which keeps the wheels of action in motion. It has the power to make you feel entrapped in its web if you indulge in them for long. Losing yourself in its maze makes the trip back to the land of normalcy rocky. It consumes a part of your authenticity without you realising it only to watch it slip away. All that is left is a corpse because you ceded control only to let the flames of destruction ravage you whole.

Rescue

Issues which affect the most are the ones which come straight from the heart. Bottling up things which are unresolved keep resurfacing from time to time and disturb the semblance of peace that covered it all up. Not having anyone to help you navigate this path makes you yearn for that tiny glimmer of hope to peek in and solve the mess that has been simmering under the surface for years. So you start relying on fantasies to fool yourself into believing that all is right in the world and hope that it can probably save you from this predicament.

Illusion

Unrequited love has a haze which makes you believe that it's true long after that person is gone. Acceptance does not shine through that haze when the person is present in front of your eyes because it would mean conforming and confronting feelings suppressed from a very long time. Denial seems like a heavenly refuge in that time. After that person walks out of your life ,you finally acknowledge that there was something which actually affected you deeply. You keep believing in it hoping that someday you'll meet that person again so that you'll be able to venture into that territory together while time would grant you that wish so everything would line up and go off without a hitch. Nostalgic memories make their presence known by interrupting your thoughts so much so that it becomes a part of your life which is almost like a chapter you can look back to after you have forgotten about it.
