During Power of the Pen, judges give a group of children a prompt and 40 minutes to write it. It starts at District then goes to Regionals and then State. I wrote this story in 8th grade as my try-out for Power of the Pen (www.powerofthepen.org). Keep in mind that this is the very first real story I wrote, okay I wrote others before this, and they were good considering the age I was when I wrote them, I just have to find them and type them up.
