This is my personal story about my struggles with depression. I want to help people who struggled the same way I did, and to do that, I would like to share my experiences. The Imperfect
Jace Piston has being dealing with the repercussions of his father's abuse all his life, his trauma manifesting as OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Whether it's turning door knobs three times before entering or frantically tugging at his shirt collar, his life consists of a series of rituals that he is convinced will keep him safe and out of harm's way, his father's way. Though when he learns his father may be released from prison, his world starts to spiral out of control. With an overworked, detached mother and a pair of ignorant, overbearing older brothers, his best friend, Leo, seems to be the only person in his corner.Leo Moon isn't without his own struggles. At eleven years old he suffered a major brain injury in a car accident. After years of therapy and treatment he'd gotten back to living a normal life or as normal as he was going to get, with a couple deficits here and there. The most debilitating being his lack of emotional regulation and depression. Things could get very dark for Leo very quickly, but lucky for him he always had Jace to light the way out his dark tunnel. Leo had plenty of people in his corner, supportive parents, a beloved little sister, and a menace of an older brother, but no one understood him the way Jace could.The two best friends were just that, best friends. (Although other people always thought them more.) In their eyes nothing could change that, especially since neither of them worked too well with change. But things get a little blurry when shit starts to hit the fan. With Jace's dad possibly being released from prison and Leo's inability to keep his emotions from getting the best of him, will the pair survive their turbulent freshman year? And if so, as friends or something more?

The lights around me were blinding so it was hard to know exactly how close it was. That damn girl, this is all her fault...______________________________________St. Lee psychiatric hospital is a mental health unit that specializes in the treatment for teenagers with serious mental disorders such as bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, schizophrenia and more. But when it turns out that things at that hospital are not what they seem the patients together decide that they must escape. Can one very special in particular patient lead them out into the free world or can this patient bring all the others down.(THIS IS MY ORIGINAL BOOK! DO NOT STEAL!)

Our Dreams of Freedom:A Coming Story
Ever since Fumiko was two years old,her father made a promise to himself that Fumiko was going to be the perfect daughter for him and perfect wife for her future husband.Fumiko was taught from a very young age that her main goal & priority in life was to be a perfect daughter for her father and a perfect wife for her future husband.Her hair was always expected to be kept long,healthy,and shiny and it was never to be cut because short hair on a woman was considered "unladylike" and "ugly",according to her father.Fumiko was only allowed to wear dresses and skirts because any other form of clothing on a woman was considered to be "unladylike",a characteristic her father was completely against.She told misogynistic messages on a regular basis like her thoughts,feelings,and opinions don't matter nearly as much as her father's opinion and her future husband's opinion.Due to Fumiko's traumatic and misogynistic upbringing,she was blinded by what would soon be the biggest catalyst to a paradigm shift to her ingrained trauma and wanting to live for someone other than herself:Being a closeted lesbian and having strong romantic feelings for her best friend,Aiyana Richardson.Fumiko loved & cared about Aiyana more than herself and she wanted nothing more than for her to feel the same way.However,she can't have the girl of her dreams and the acceptance of her father as well.Fumiko must sacrifice one for the other and deal with whatever consequences that may come from it.Will Fumiko choose to live her own life instead of the one her father wants for her? Will Fumiko's love for Aiyana be enough to let her sacrifice the conditional acceptance of her father? Will Fumiko finally be able to live the life she wants as an uncloseted lesbian & by Aiyana's side and obtain her dreams of freedom?
Still Water
Still water.Murky.Stagnant.Full of mosquitos.There was a time in my life where I was still water.No matter how much I moved, I stayed stuck.Mud and darkness surrounding me.I felt like I couldn't breathe.Writing these poems helped me get through the toughest time of my life. I hope someone can relate to my thoughts.
