How do you kill the demons that live inside of your mind? How do you fight the feelings and tears that come with the demons and their voices? Kimberly Lyn murdered her parents, she knew it, her new family knew it, her therapist knew it, but the FBI didn’t. Her new dad, Jared Stilinski, was her therapist and she isn’t the only young adult in his home that had killed her parents. Every kid in his house, killed their parents or guardians with the special abilities that they had. Laura has a clear vision of her future she is taking requirement classes to ultimately end up as a pre-med major when she goes to college where as her father's death has inspired her to become an oncologist. However Laura ends up hanging out with a girl named Bridget and her two friends Heather and Jody and these three girls are up to no good, peer pressure to smoke and to drink alcohol at a party where there are no parents present. It is when three more wholesome and nicer girls from school Kimberly, Maggie and Sophie land a job at the coffee shop is when Laura realizes who her true friends are. Then one night tragedy strikes, which shakes up Laura's world once again. But like they say when one door closes in life another one will always open.
