Almost a year after Johnny and Dally's deaths, strange things start happening to Ponyboy and it is definitely not puberty. When he starts thinking he's going crazy reports of a strange animal-like creature attacking people in Tulsa, his and the gang's hometown. After Johnny's parents, the people who abused their own son, get attacked by the creature he starts thinking that he's the creature that has been attacking people. Then reports of four wolf-like creatures seen fighting the creature usually when it tried to attack people, but only when there is a full moon. After the Curtis get a call from the hospital that Johnny's parents aren't really his parents Ponyboy visits Johnny and Dally's graves to think about what's happening to him he finds that their graves have been dug up. After calling the police, it turns out that both graves were dug up from the coffin to the surface with bate hands. As more and more people get attacked the more he worries about his brothers, will he attack them next or will the wolves get him first?
